Retaining wall repair | Jul 2014 | The old retaining wall was falling over, because the posts were not in the ground far enough. We tore out the old wall and dug the posts an additional two feet and concreted around them, and anchored the timbers to the new posts with 8 inch wood lags. | $3k | Marion, IA
Back yard patio | Jun 2014 | Customer removed his old wood deck and we poured a new concrete patio, with a set of steps. We colored the concrete to give it a little different look, and added a brick border. | $6k | Marion, IA
Concrete Porch Steps | May 2014 | Tore out old prefabbed concrete steps, and dug frost footings, and poured new concrete steps in place. This job went smoothly, with the exception of the concrete company delivering concrete on time. Finally went with a different concrete company. This job a day. | $1k | Cedar Rapids, IA
Parking area addition | May 2014 | Homeowner wanted a small 8' by 13' parking spot added on in his driveway. This was half a day job. Everything went smoothly. | $468 | Cedar Rapids, IA
Driveway Reconstruction | May 2014 | Poured new concrete over top of an existing gravel driveway. Homeowner wanted a concrete driveway, to get away from having a plain old gravel driveway. It took about three days to complete. | $6k | Earlville, IA
Back yard patio | May 2014 | Poured a colored stamped patio with a built in fire pit. It was a cobblestone style stamp with a seamless border. | $4k | Earlville, IA
Concrete Porch Steps | May 2014 | Tore out the old existing cinder block steps, and replaced them with new concrete poured in place steps. | $850 | Marion, IA
Driveway Reconstruction | Jan 2014 | Tore out an existing driveway, that was cracked and pealing up. Replaced with brand new concrete, with rock underneath, and put in reinforcing rod. When tearing out the old driveway we went to far into the street, and put in six inches of asphalt at the end of the driveway. The old concrete was so crumbly it was falling apart at the street. | $3k | Marion, IA
Driveway Reconstruction | Jan 2014 | tore out existing driveway, and added an additional ten feet to the south of driveway, for a parking spot. One problem encountered was the driveway was completely flat from the garage to the street, so we suggested putting a drain with a grate over top of it right in front of the garage, to keep water from running into the garage. The homeowner thought this was a good idea, and the problem was solved. One night it rained, so the next morning there was mud in the pour, but we dug it out, and rocked the pour area, and poured over a dry base. This job took about 5 days. | $7k | Marion, IA |
