This is Shane Jones. We do a lot of work for a lot of people and have never had any complaints. We love what we do. And enjoy helping hr friends and customers out. A few weeks ago I changed out a hot water heater for a neighbor and friend for free. They are good people and needed the help and I was glad to help. We did a job for a guy last year we did over 25.000 dollars worth of work and he paid us 16.000 many of his projects did not get done do to lack of funds. This man was clearly trying to take advantage of me and my Generosity. Now he is on a personal mission to smear my name and do me harm. We can and will do any job and complete the project before you pay any money to guarantee your 100% satisfaction. This man sued me and the judge dismissed the case. I am sure he will try and take it to a higher court. And I look forward to that day. I have been doing this kind of work for 20 years and have a 99% approval rating and we all know of the 1% disapproval guy.

BEWARE!!! Shane Jones is a dishonest contractor who's work is very poor quality. I had $16,000 worth the remodeling performed on my home by Shane, his father-in-law Hayes Lovelady, and his "Master Electrician" David. Shane did not complete any of the work properly. Below is a brief list of what was done. - Water heater installed with a reducing coupling on the T&P valve so an undersized line could be used. Shane installed my water heater in a pan that was the same diameter as the water heater so it would not fit. Instead of using the correct sized pan, Shane placed broken pieces of brick that he found on my property in the pan to prop up the water heater. I even purchased the correct size pan and left it for Shane to install and he did not. He also never installed a drain line for the pan, so if a leak were to occur it would pour into the closet. - Shane's flooring installation was terrible looking and appeared as if he had no prior experience. He did not install the moisture barrier so that it covered the concrete slab. He installed expansion joints that did not match the floor, he cut the floor panels around the door frames instead of undercutting the door frames, leaving large gaps at every door frame so the concrete slab is visible. Shane attempted to fabricate a step molding using mismatched corner molding and quarter round instead of using a stairnose trim piece. Shane also installed faux wood quarter round when real wood was supposed to be used. I have an estimate for nearly $12,000 to repair the flooring job Shane did. -Shane replaced the breaker panel but did not complete the job. He cut a load bearing wall stud and removed a large area of sheet rock from around the breaker panel. The panel was installed recessed too far into the wall. Shane said there was an issue with the conduit entering the house that prevented him from installing it correctly. Shane left the wall cut out and cut stud. There was no issue with the conduit, he just wasn't smart enough to lift the box off the threads so it would slide out far enough for proper installation. I am paying a real electrician $870 to fix issues that's Shane's electrician ignored, yet was paid to correct. - Numerous walls were textured in areas and never painted. Holes were left in walls and wall plates were painted over in some locations. Shane patched on hole by screwing a wall plate over it and painting it. He did not paint any doors or trim even though he was paid to do so. -Shane installed a "Dry Area Only" kitchen type light IN THE SHOWER. His tile work in the new shower started cracking within two months because he did not mortar the Hardibacker board joints and embed high strength glass fiber tape in the joints as specified by the manufacturer. The shower pan has low spots that collect water and leave a large puddle that doesn't drain. He also plumbed the shower valve backwards so hot water comes out first. He tried to solder a pipe directly into the valve instead of using a threaded coupling as it was designed for. This led to numerous leaks. - Shane's "master electrician" wired multiple three-way switches using 14/2 Romex and utilizing the bare copper ground wire as a current carrying traveler wire, and eliminating the electrical ground in the process. He installed multiple lights without connecting ground wires. He removed my smoke detectors and did not install new ones as agreed upon. He also did not install GFCI receptacles as agreed upon. -Shane and his crew damaged my personal property as well. Shane sprayed paint in my front room without masking the tile and vinyl floor so it was covered in paint. He took my shower mat out of the bathroom and used it for a knee pad and ruined it with mortar. He also scratched and gouged my bathroom sink by piling his tools in and on it. There is much more that was done improperly, incompletely, or not at all. I have MANY pictures throughout the remodel job and afterwards that I will email you to support my review claims. Shane is a crook, plain and simple. He is dishonest and incompetent to perform this type of work. He is also lazy. He only worked about 3-5 hours a day. I know this based off of the time stamps from the material receipts. He also appears to be engaged in tax fraud. Shane claimed that he uses a buddy's tax exempt ID and my material receipts from Lowe's show that he did not pay sales tax. Shane said his buddy gets to claim the expenses as well. Shane does not run a tax exempt business. I have turned him in to the Texas Comptroller and have given them copies of all receipts. Shane also lied about how much he claimed he spent working on my house. He stated in a text message, which I have pictures of ad well, that he had his wife give him a bank statement showing he spent $2,400 more than I paid him, but that was OK because he wanted me to have a nice house. While UNDER OATH his wife stated that she did not provide Shane any such bank statement. Shane has since come up with some fictitious amount of $25,000 that he thinks he spent on my house. All that was ever agreed to was $15K in work, and I added another $1K for some stupid reason. Shane is dishonest in every way. Use common sense folks, if Shane actually performed $25K in work, do you really think he would walk away without collecting $9K? Don't you think the judge would have awarded him the money, or that he would have filed a lawsuit against me instead of the other way aaround? I will be pursuing legal action against Shane in the district court as the amount of damages exceeds the permissible limit at the Justice of the Peace court. My case against Shane was only dismissed on jurisdictional grounds as I was unable to sue for a lesser amount than the actual damages. I will be suing for the full amount in district court. Shane's counter claim against me for over $9,000 was tossed becaused it was complete BS and he had zero evidence to back his claim that he spent more than agreed upon. I would be very suspicious of Shane's positive reviews here. Also, the review by Carrie Lovelady as she shares the same last name as Shane's father-in-law, which is not a common name. *Update-It appears that her review has been removed. Someone has also stated that Carrie Lovelady is Shane's sister-in-law, who doesn't even own a house. I can't confirm, but it wouldn't surprise me. Just goes to show the guy can't even be honest with a review website. I encourage you to stay far away from Shane Jones Customs. This man is a crook and performs inferior work. He will cut corners in every possible way to maximize his profits. He will do everything possible to avoid fixing issues he caused or being held accountable. Letters that were sent to Shane were returned because Shane or his family told the post off he does not live at the address and that no forwarding address was known. Of course this was a lie as a private process server found him at his residence on their first attempt to make contact. You will have to hunt him down and drag him to court to get reimbursement. Feel free to email me at lkot688@ou.edu if you would like to see pictures supporting my claims. A website will be up in the near future with pictures detailing all of Shane's shotty work and hack jobs. People like Shane have no business working on anyone's home. Someone with Shane Jones Customs reported my review to have it removed so he could continue to dupe people into believing he only had positive reviews of his work. Luckily the great folks at Porch validated my review and reposted it. I commend them for upholding the integrity of reviews, good and bad, that are posted. I cannot express enough to stay away from this guy!
