This is a long story, but I wanted to give a clear picture of the poor installation quality and poor longevity of our Re-Bath shower: In 2016, the previous owners of our home had remodeled the master bathroom shower with plastic panels that looked like white tile (We didn't know it was Re-Bath until later). The remodel included replacing the shower floor with a white plastic floor, too. We purchased the home almost 3 years ago, and immediately noticed that the shower floor didn't feel right - it had no support near the drain, so the floor flexed a lot when you stepped near that area. Based on the appearance, I figured some unlicensed Florida "handyman" did a lousy job and we would have to replace this if it failed. Fast forward 2 years, and I noticed the walls outside of the shower had some water damage. I couldn't tell if this was a shower pan leak or damage from the fact that the door didn't seal when closed, but either way, I knew I would have to make repairs soon. Then, shortly after that, the plastic floor developed a crack in the area that had no support under it, so it was time to replace the damaged floor and see what was going on. I cut out the plastic floor (quite easy to cut with a box cutter) and noticed 4 big problems: 1) all of the edges showed some degree of water damage where the floor connected to the wall, 2) the shower drain was not piped to connect it to the drain line - instead, there was just A LOT of caulk filling in the gap in the floor between drain and the sewer pipe below, 3) the shower 'pan' was not an actual lined, cement pan, but instead was just a sheet of cement wall board glued to the cement slab underneath, and 4) there was NO waterproofing at all - no liner, no red guard or similar...nothing to prevent water from exfiltrating in the event of a leak. Upon discovering the issues noted above, we knew we had to completely demolish what was there and get a shower professionally installed. While removing the plastic fake tile panels, I discovered a couple of Re-Bath stickers on the back. This prompted me to contact Re-Bath about this failed installation. Their answers were: 1) we only warranty work to original owner, 2) that's how we used to do the piping, but we don't do it that way any more (hmmm...wonder why?), and 3) the previous owner should have told them that there was a problem (of course, the problem was hidden under the plastic floor, so there was no way to know what was going on until it was removed!). We've since had a plumber install a proper, waterproof pan and connect the plumbing correctly. While here, he noted that the previous installation was leaking considerably around the caulked drain into the slab and ground underneath and he had never seen such a poor job of shower floor installation. We are now installing a tile and glass shower that won't leak, should last many years, all at a price much lower than Re-Bath reportedly charged for this failed installation.

My newly completed shower is beautiful. I am so happy. What a pleasure! The workman was excellent - an artist, knowledgeable, courteous, respectful and smart. However, the salesman, Brad Lawless is a lying sack of buzzard poop. Avoid all contact with him. It's very easy to tell if he is lying because his lips are moving.

![]() ![]() | Avalon Park Full Bathroom | Sep 2014 | Full bathroom remodel, changing shape of existing shower, adding knee wall with 3/8 panel of glass for walk in aspect, all new 18x18 floating porcelain tile and paint throughout bathroom, 2 custom curved front vanities with custom solid surface tops, brand new fixtures throughout the entire bathroom as well, new toilet and wainscoting. | $22k | Orlando, FL |
![]() ![]() | Saftey Shower | Aug 2014 | Here we took out the tub the customer was not using anymore along with the shower due to problems with leaks throughout the tiled area. After reconfiguring the space we used ReBath DuraBath SSP (Solid Surface Polymere) walls on all three walls, built a bench seat in the back along with a knee wall next to the vanity. Finished it off with 4 stainless steel grab bars throughout and one floor to ceiling assist bar that moves with customer as he enters and exits shower area safely. | $10k | Orlando, FL |
![]() ![]() | Wheel Chair Accessible | May 2014 | Here we took out the tile shower and had a custom shower base made with a molded ramp for the customer to enter into the shower with ease. It includes a seperate handheld diverter so they can choose to use the shower unit up on the wall or down by the bench. Also did one side of the new vanity so the wheel chair could fit under the cabinet. Replace the whole vanity, new top, mirrors, lights, and textured and painted bathroom. | $10k | Leesburg, FL |
![]() ![]() | Tub to Shower | Apr 2014 | Here we demoed the entire bathroom, from floor to ceiling. Starting in the shower, we redesigned the lay out by removing the garden tub, a wall and adding a bench. Creating a large walk-in shower with a tricky layout. Glass was later added to complete the shower. 18" Tile was then added to the rest of the bathroom floor. After, we added a new 2-sink vanity in place of the old single sink unit. Here we opened up the entire wall and added a new drain and water lines to support the new sink. Finally, we installed new sheet-rock, texture and paint on all walls. | $22k | Deland, FL |
![]() ![]() | Master Shower Extend | Apr 2014 | This customer wanted the old shower ripped out and extended further into the bathroom. We ripped out the cultured marble and extended with two knee walls then added some extra plumbing for a separate diverter to rain head and hand held. Also instead of going through the headache of removing the old tub we wrapped around it to bring it back to life and match the rest of the shower area, then finished it off with a 3/8 heavy glass framless enclosure. | $11k | Lake Mary, FL |
![]() ![]() | Bathtub to Bathtub | Feb 2014 | Here we just took out the existing cast iron tub and replaced it with a ReBath DuraBath SSP tub and wall system. Colors that were used we a biscuit tub and Florentine Marble wall system with 3 shelves, grab bar, Delta Lahara 1700 series tub/shower trim and curved shower rod | $5k | Oviedo, FL |
![]() ![]() | Full Bathroom Remodel | Jan 2014 | Here we redesigned the bathroom, took garden tub out and placed on opposite wall. Then re- tiled the entire shower. Adding a rain head on one wall and an in2uition on another. We also removed the old tile floor and carpet. Then replaced with new 18" tile throughout. The soffit was demoed and recessed can lights were installed in its place. Finally we replaced the vanity with beautiful Birtch cabinets and corian counter. To top it all off, a fresh coat of texture and paint were added . | $28k | Apopka, FL |
![]() ![]() | Tub to Shower | May 2013 | Here we took out the old steel tub and replaced it with a structural ReBath tub, replaced the valve with Delta, used a 3 wall DuraBath SSP system, window kit, corner shelf, and shower doors. | $6k | Orlando, FL |
![]() ![]() | Tile Shower to Tile Shower | Mar 2013 | Here we retrofitted a shower base to fit existing space and then used an Old World Tuscan style wall with new valve and shelves, then finished it off with a new shower rod. Something like this with no underlying problems can be done in as quickly as a day, although out technicians make sure there are no problems in that we do offer a lifetime warranty on all of our products. This means that we do not want to cover up any problems so later down the road we have to come back and rip up our system and replace it just as much as you do not want us to come back and redo our work. | $5k | Orlando, FL |
