From my past dealings with tree services, its been a busy couple of years for them. Freezes and hurricanes can take many trees to the ground. The truth is dealing with any tree service is not at all a fun experience, rescheduling, cancelling, missed calls, etc. And I've hired some of the bigger outfits in the past and its the same thing. The difference with this most company I hired for my rental properites is that they really talented arborists who can actually back it up when they told me they could save most of my trees. And yes, the aforementioned and not fun to deal with events of past services from other companies, that i spoke of towards the start of this review, are not immuned by Tree PhD but they are a 3 man company that is quantifiably backed by a hell of an education, more experience than most, refuse to remove any tree and visually evident results. It may take a minute but they will take care of your trees and they care more than most about our environment here at home. I recommend these guys for any health related tree issue

I called these guys a few months ago to help me with an ash tree that was looking pretty sad. At that time the Arborist identified the issue, educated me on the how's and why's and went through with a treatment plan. My ash was obviously getting better from their treatment. I've been due for my Arborist to have his return inspection. They recently had a sudden loss of their manager/family member and my prayers go out to them. I understood it when they had to reschedule a couple of times but they seem to be back on track and my second treatment is complete and my tree is still doing really good. These guys (and girl) are a small business but there's no doubt they know their stuff. I recommend Tree PhD Urban Forestry

We have 20 mature Japanese Blueberry trees that were severely damaged during the February (2021) hard freeze. We contacted Tree PhD Urban Forestry-Arborist & Tree Service to help us make informed difficult decisions concerning the healthcare and treatment of our trees. March 9th Chris met with us on site. March 10th we received a detailed treatment plan from Chris along with his prior assurance that he would monitor the progress of our trees and recommend further treatment as outlined in our contract for their continued care. (March 11) After the initial on site treatment and payment, our trees did not receive the second application evaluation for further treatment (25 days after initial treatment) or the on site evaluation (45 days after initial treatment) to monitor response for additional care. Chris scheduled 5 “no show” appointments with us. He did not once have the courtesy to call or text his change in plans. Each appointment time would come and go. We would text Chris and ask his ETA at which point he would reschedule and repeat this unprofessional and insulting behavior. Our last such communication with Chris was (April 18th) at which time he assured us we were his number one priority. He did not reschedule a date or time during that exchange and we have not heard from him or anyone else from the company. It is now May 7th, 58 days since initial treatment. We were trying to save our trees. Believing we had a company who signed on to treat, monitor and continue care of our trees to hopefully bring them back to a healthy status. It was very disappointing the lack of service and neglect we experienced. We lost confidence in Chris and his company’s ability to provide the care our trees required on the timeline he recommended and contracted with us to provide. He lost our respect and our business. Do not hire this company if you need quality long term professional care for your trees. We have since hired different reputable professional company who is providing excellent service and care.

Jason helped my sick tree and designed my new landscape and did a great job at both! He's wicked smart on anything to do with trees and plants. He has a great artistic eye with landscape design also. I will definitely be recommending Tree PhD from now on!!
