From my past dealings with tree services, its been a busy couple of years for them. Freezes and hurricanes can take many trees to the ground. The truth is dealing with any tree service is not at all a fun experience, rescheduling, cancelling, missed calls, etc. And I've hired some of the bigger outfits in the past and its the same thing. The difference with this most company I hired for my rental properites is that they really talented arborists who can actually back it up when they told me they could save most of my trees. And yes, the aforementioned and not fun to deal with events of past services from other companies, that i spoke of towards the start of this review, are not immuned by Tree PhD but they are a 3 man company that is quantifiably backed by a hell of an education, more experience than most, refuse to remove any tree and visually evident results. It may take a minute but they will take care of your trees and they care more than most about our environment here at home. I recommend these guys for any health related tree issue

I called these guys a few months ago to help me with an ash tree that was looking pretty sad. At that time the Arborist identified the issue, educated me on the how's and why's and went through with a treatment plan. My ash was obviously getting better from their treatment. I've been due for my Arborist to have his return inspection. They recently had a sudden loss of their manager/family member and my prayers go out to them. I understood it when they had to reschedule a couple of times but they seem to be back on track and my second treatment is complete and my tree is still doing really good. These guys (and girl) are a small business but there's no doubt they know their stuff. I recommend Tree PhD Urban Forestry

Late June, Contacted them to get approval from the HOA to remedy drainage issues in the back yard. They said it was within guidelines, cashed the check. When told later that afternoon the HOA needed paperwork reflecting the authorization they said they had, they responded they would contact the HOA the next day. They never did. Early September, several requests from me asking for the documentation of approval, told it was coming or no response. Multiple texts/emails voicing my concerns with no progress/no authorization/loss of confidence in them that were ignored totally or a promise to address that never happened. Late September I find out from HOA there was never any contact or authorization given. Their response to this was they’ll call me over the weekend. Nothing happens. I advise of pending lawsuit & get they’ve been away from the office for a week & somehow they don’t check their email. What legitimate business operates without checking emails & following up on written requests/concerns/complaints by a customer? Still waiting on my refund, but not holding my breath with this group. Sorry I have to even give 1 star in order to get this posted.

We contacted them in June to get approval from the HOA for a remedy to drainage issues. June 30, they said the project was within guidelines, we issued a check for $2700 as down payment. They cashed it July 1. That afternoon I informed them the HOA was requesting documentation for their position the project was within guidelines. I was told they would call the HOA the next day. Never happened. September, I made several text/email requests for the documentation, told it was coming. More texts/emails, calls about the lack of response, no progress on project even when told it would start, even said litigation was imminent if no approval from HOA produced. Draft of pleadings sent & still no response in early October. A reputable company would have done what they promised, responded to customer concerns & request for a refund. This company — crickets.
