Mavis's Construction and Remodel, LLC

BEWARE: Robert White ( aka Robert M White / Robert Mavis White ) of Mavis’s Construction and Remodel, LLC is a conman. During May/June 2017, while operating from his previous location in Americus, GA, he took $10k from a disabled senior citizen (my sister) to replace a leaking roof. The new roof turned out to be a disaster and soon started leaking again. Nails were exposed, shingles were installed haphazardly, etc. (I have pictures to prove it). To quote a professional roofer who later inspected the roof: "the only way to solve this issue is to remove all the shingles and replace them." Before Mr. White finished the job, he asked for more money because he supposedly estimated the cost wrong, and the job ran a lot longer than it was supposed to according to the contract. He skipped town immediately after the roofing job, moving to Valdosta, and when contacted about the defective roof, he refused to do anything about the problem, responding “you can’t get blood out of a turnip”, even though we had a signed agreement that stated “the roof is warranted against leaks for 5 years”. So much for his guarantee!
