About Kimmel Studio Architects
We are are an award-winning, design-oriented team of architects and landscape architects with decades of experience designing a wide range of buildings, including waterfront and historic homes, as well as horse barns, apartments, memorials, museums, restaurants, campuses, and sports stadiums. We also provide planning and design services for historic sites and buildings, for both public and private clients. As part of our preservation services, we conduct research and documentation efforts, and design historically-sensitive architecture.

  | Tidewater Farm House | Dec 2017 | Kimmel Studio Architects designed this home as an ensemble of farmhouses and rural buildings connected by enclosed and open porches. The large and modern home looks as if it were composed of structures that were built over time, and that were then connected. This helps with the overall massing and scale of the compound. There is something familiar in the shapes you see in this large waterfront estate. This is because the simple lines echo the once ubiquitous farmhouses of the Eastern Shore. The tidewater farms of Maryland's Eastern Shore inspired us to draw the contours of this large farmhouse. The tidewater farm features river views on three sides and includes its own private pier for the owner's boat. | $3m | Queenstown, MD |
