We had a serious problem with our front yard irrigation. John Landscaping came out and fixed the problem so we thought. He did come back after finishing another job and was able to fix our leaking irrigation. I would recommend him to our neighbors if they should have the same problem

November 2020 John came to our house to fix a cement slab on the side of the swimming pool that was rising up and cracking. I initially wanted it to be mud jacked to level it but that wasn’t a service he offered. He recommended removing and replacing the cement instead because there maybe a problem underneath. I was reluctant because I wasn’t planning on spending that amount of money. Also, the price quoted was to include hauling away the old cement. I was adamant that it needed to be done right and I didn’t want any headaches or addition problems because it was next to the pool. He said he could do it. I agreed and the project started. His crew came and did the work. Unfortunately, there was several areas at the pool’s edge that the cement was short by an inch or so leaving space for water to go in. Additionally, they used a foam barrier that was left on the pool side edge that they tried to cement over which 2 days after the project was completed the cement started cracking off and falling into the pool leaving a large hole in one area. I contacted John and he came back to look at it and admitted they made a mistake and would come back to finish it properly and to also take away the broken chunks of old cement that was left in a pile and the wood framing left behind. I’ve contacted him at least 4 to 5 times since then and he promised to come but never did, giving various excuses from being sick, to finishing up another job, to waiting to get paid from his other jobs, to getting rid of the old cement is expensive (which isn’t true) and hinting that he wanted more money to do the work that he already got paid for. It’s been 6 months and I’m tired of waiting. I was considering using him for additional work if he completed this job properly, but that idea is long gone. I’m going to have to fix the mistakes they made myself and remove the old cement or hirer another company.

I wonder if John has intention to complete the fire pit project with me. I feel it’s abandoned since October 2020. I paid 75% of the contract price upfront. Just sad.... getting pushed out. I used to hear back reasons why he couldn’t come. Last few weeks, no more communication. He seems to be a good guy. I don’t expect this will happen to me.

John Landscaping is the only company that responded to my project of installing a French drain. The owner responded to my request and my questions promptly and set up an appointment with me within 24 Hours. That’s when I found out his company also did concrete work and I needed a concrete pad for a new hot tub which his crew installed perfectly level and in a short amount of time. I was so pleased with the work I had him install a 40’ long retaining wall behind the hot tub and a small paver patio in front of it. The crew was polite and respectful of my existing landscape and left my back yard as nice as when they when they arrived. I highly recommend John Landscaping.
