Romero's Home Specialist

Both Alvaro Rojo at Rojo Construction LLC and Luis Romero at Romero Home Specialist are scammers. They steal your money and don't do the job. They might do some work in the beginning, but once you pay them; they never finish the work. We had him do some work on our garage and it took months to just get windows. When he says someone is coming to do the work, 95% of the time they don't show up. His workers left construction debris all over our yard and we had to clean it up several times because our neighbors complained and we had young children. We would have to call and threaten to take him to court to even communicate. His workers stole our nail gun. Our project should have been completed in a few months, now it's been almost 2 years. All of the work failed codes and it took forever for us to pass permits. We will have to hire someone to look over all the work to make sure our garage doesn't burn down. We had to do some of the work to get it to pass. He also works with Rojo Construction and will try to pull permits under his name. Rojo uses a fake permit, a dead's person license. Please report both of them to TN Licensing Board and stay clear from these people.

After paying 50% down, he did not show up for first day of work. Then his crew showed up and worked 4 out of a 5 day job. Luis said he would be back the following week. He did not show for a month. I had paid him for the last day that he was there, but then was informed that he would not be sealing the driveway becasue he had other jobs. We agreed that he would give me back the $500.00 for the sealing he did not do. He promised to drop off check, but despite calls and texts, it has been more than a month and no check. He is a liar and has poor business ethics. Don't hire.

Luis and team did a great job painting my house at a fair price!

I hired Luis to refinish my hardwoods and remove a load bearing wall (install a beam). Luis did not show up for 3 appointments that he scheduled for me. They never finished the floors completely. I ended up firing them because the work was so shoddy and three weeks had past (they originally estimated 1 week) and they were not getting in any type of hurry even knowing that I could not live in the house because the floor were being redone. I would recommend against hiring them.
