They installed a new AC Unit in August of 2015 (so 3 years ago). Have come to realize the installed unit is a Nordyne, the cheapest most inferior unit yet charged us the same as a Trane would have cost us. They put in the cheapest Thermostat, not programmable, no light. Charged us $4890.00 plus tax. Today, 3 years later the unit does not work. We were told by another company the compressor was leaking, but the part should be under warrantee. Had Desert Heating & Cooling come out today, telling them what we were told. He installed a new/waranteed compressor & motor but said the system has been "contaminated" by someone else and therefore will only cool at half capacity! Charged us $800.00 for 3 hours of work installing the free/warranted parts and wants another $1300.00 to actually make our AC functional. He left 2 hours ago and the system is not working. Tried to dispute the $800 and response was "I did exactly what you told me you needed." DO NOT trust or use this company. Inferior products, inferior work for top dollar and seem to think it's appropriate to charge someone even if you don't fix their problem.
