Cozy wine tasting room in Aptos Village. The owner wanted warm wood cabinetry that could hold cases of wine. The counter tops are made of patina-ed copper with an industrial protective finish. The floors are made of commercial-grade, stained, recycled cork which lends a sound absorbing quality since the flooring is installed over a concrete slab. This is a great place to enjoy a flight of locally made Santa Cruz mountains Pinot Noir.

1920's bungalow style home that needed a kitchen and bath remodel. New electrical and plumbing and updated floor plan resulted in a traditional looking kitchen that matches seamlessly with the rest of the home, but offers all the bells and whistles of a new kitchen. Crystal Cabinetry has the traditional look the clients wanted, but the painted finish has a life time guarantee! The bath off the hallway was remodeled into an "Aging in Place" bathroom with a level entry shower, hand held shower wand. Crystal Cabinetry was configured to use every bit of available space in the small room.

Weekend home located on the sand in Aptos needed a complete renovation. New plumbing pipes, electrical and upgraded insulation throughout to make the 50 year old building energy efficient were the first order of business. In order to avoid a Coastal Commission hearing, square footage remained the same and all the surfaces were replaced in kind. The owners wanted a playful but durable interior and the warm woods play well against the stone floors and accents. The original iron stair railing was sand blasted and re-used.

The project was to create a safe area to bathe in for a client with mobility issues. A large, level entry shower with built in seating replaced a standard curb shower and the bathtub was made more accessible by creating a flat tub surround for sitting.
