Garden Gurus

Garden Gurus are independently-contracted professionals working in the landscape industry as designers, gardeners and general, all-around plant experts. They demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of local plants, pests, diseases and can impart all their gardening know-how and tips to you in a sensible way. Our coaching sessions last 90-minutes, during which a Guru fills out a garden inventory for your yard. Often our inventories touch on any or all of the following: We identify your plants and, if they have diseases or infestations, we recommend organic solutions for treatment. If you had a sun garden that has become shady over the years, we recommend plants that will thrive in the new circumstances. Need deer-proof (or deer-resistant) ideas for plants? Sure, we can help with that. Do you need a bit of advice on how to prune shrubs or small trees? That's covered. We can talk design, and put together quick sketches of how to facelift the garden with strategic improvements. Finally, we can give you referrals. Need an arborist, a gardener, a mason or contractor? We can help you sort through the overwhelming number of vendors in the market.
