Rhino Brothers Moving

By far the worst experience with a moving I've ever had.  The company lost a box of old paintings and photos that are irreplaceable and refused to take any responsibility for it.  Carlos (owner?  manager?) reviewed our move and agreed that his company would provide disassembly and reassembly for beds and furniture.  Movers arrived with no tools. Toolkits I loaned them were missing pieces when returned. AFTER the movers left, found that 3 (of 4) beds had been reassembled incorrectly.  All 4 beds were missing hardware.  There were 47 pieces of hardware (screws, bolts, protective covers, etc)  missing across the 4 beds. One bed would have literally fell apart if we used it.  It was 10+ hours of my time finding replacing hardware, disassembling and reassembling the furniture correctly.  The first night in a new house and kids were unable to sleep in their own beds.   Carlos initially promised to "make this right".  I provided a list and pictures of the missing hardware, incorrectly assembled parts, and broken pieces and have not heard from him since.  I followed up twice and still no response.  I know moving is choatic, but 47 pieces of furniture missing is not an accident, it is NEGLIGENCE. We tipped very well since the beds appeared to be assembled and it's frustrating that we were treated so poorly. The lack of response and follow through from this company was very disappointing along with broken promises from Carlos.

Crew arrived early and handled my move with great care and efficiency. I have many large antique furniture items and I knew quickly they were in good hands. Each was protected, handled and secured individually. All were courteous and respectful of my homes. Working with Rhino Brothers was easy and worry free. I will use them for my next moving need and highly recommend them for yours!

I am shocked to see so many good reviews. This company is so unprofessional. I gave them nearly six week’s notice of my move. I confirmed with them using their email system. I spent my valuable time going over the inventory and homes, not once, but THREE TIMES. Also, Carlos came to my house and literally saw the safe that he all of the sudden has a problem with. We literally talked about it 3 times and he saw it in person for a 4th time. Then this guy tells me the day before we move that it’s some kind of huge task that he wasn’t prepared for and clearly trying to jack the prices up on me. I asked Sara for a quote on work hours for the move, weeks ago and I didn’t receive it until the day before the move, after the guy argues with me! Carlos quotes me 6-8 hours with four guys! Yea right! I have moved twice in the past two years with all of the same furniture and it has never taken them over 4 hours. That’s with 3 guys and I allowed this company to use 4 and they tell me it will be up to twice the time. So shady! Also, Carlos started arguing with me about the fact I told him it was a small safe multiple times. The guy literally forgot that he saw it in person and my wife pointed it out to him. So bizarre and unprofessional! Who argues with a customer under these circumstances??? Then the guy proceeds to tell me that he quoted me on hours the first day, which is a blatant lie! I literally have emails asking for this info and getting no response! Given all of the arguing, lying and last minute changes, I canceled THE DAY BEFORE THE MOVE. Like these unprofessional people couldn’t have clarified this any time over the past SIX WEEKS! The only possible reason for all of this was to try to milk hours for the job and jack up the price of the move. They thought they would do it just before moving so we were trapped. Little did these shady people know, we have weeks to move and lots of resources to find other options. I plan to lobby complaints against this company over the internet and BBB. I would not recommend even considering this company. I hope savvy shoppers look at the one star reviews first, before getting stuck like us. What a joke! I have many emails and texts that I’m happy to show anyone that wants to see the experiences I have had, before making a decision on using this company. BUYER BEWARE.

The actual movers were awesome-- they were polite, hardworking and careful with our belongings. Our problems stemmed from the owner of the company underestimating how big a truck was needed and how many movers. Even though he came out to personally view what needed to be moved, he was way off-- resulting in about 1/3 of our stuff not making it onto the truck on moving day. We waited 3 days for them to come back and get the rest of the stuff (holiday, overbooked, truck problems etc, etc. etc). We missed the deadline to be out of our house to allow the new owners to take possession and had to pay a penalty. Icing on the cake was getting overcharged for the move-- which the owner acknowledged and promised to adjust. He never did, and did not return texts messages afterwards. Bottom line--what should have been an easy move was a nightmare because we chose this company. Don't risk it!
