I had an absolute TERRIBLE experience with Apex Fence. Here is my experience (I have pictures, videos, texts and emails to back up the entire experience): I contacted Apex for some repairs needed on a fence that was already installed when I purchased my house. Brian came over to see my fence and provided me with 2 options. After several conversations with Brian to ensure I understood what his work would entail, I contracted him for one of the options. The repairs were delayed due to some unforeseen issues which I was understanding and patient towards. He sends a crew to my house on 11/8/2021 to complete the repairs that we had agreed to. This is the point that things started to turn bad. His crew did only part of the work on the 8th, neither when they arrived at my house nor when they left my house on that first trip did the crew come to the door, call me, talk to me or discuss anything with me. When I realized the crew had left, I went outside to look at the work completed. I very quickly discovered that they didn’t do some of the agreed upon work. I called Apex Fence and talked to Katie, the crew was sent back out to my house later on the 8th. At that time, the crew did some additional work but still did not complete everything that I had contracted with Apex Fence. Some of the items I was told couldn’t be completed yet due to back order (plugging holes left in the fence), some of the items I was told was determined to not be needed (replacing all the hinges) and that I would receive a credit and some of the items I did not notice on the 8th. I was billed and paid in full on Nov 10th, even though not all the work was completed that was charged and paid for. Several issues with the repair: gates sagged again quickly because Apex did not install the aluminum post inserts they were contracted and paid to do, instead they put some non-aluminum small flimsy insert that provided NO support to the posts. (Apex would end up lying about this work). They installed one of the new latches upside down. They installed both of the new latches on the wrong sides of the double gates (leaving the latch arm on the non-opening gate leaving a safety hazard). When they repositioned the corner post, the drop bar hole no longer aligned (they were supposed to come fix but never did) AND the corner post is now not even close to straight / aligned with the sides of the fence (it’s completely out of square now). The gaps under my gates are now large (Apex told me 4 to 6 inches was normal but I had a gap almost 7 inches off the ground). The wind now blew open my locked and latched gates, both sides! As a result of the wind now able to open a latched and locked gate, one of the vinyl gates cracked (from blowing around in the wind). Apex screwed both sides of my fence into my house without this being discussed or part of the contracted work approved by me (they put holes in my house through the siding and the supporting frame work. Permanently damaging my house without any conversations with me prior to the work). On Feb 12, 2022 I talked to Katie with Apex fence and what resolutions I would like – I wanted the job I paid for completed and the cracked gate fixed for no charge or a minimal charge. She agreed that my request was reasonable. Brain came back out to my house on Feb 17 to look at my fence. He and I completely disagree on what transpired during that conversation. I was still under the impression that Apex was going to complete their work, fix outstanding items and fix the cracked gate at no charge or a minimal charge. Brain provided me with an email on Feb 22 that contained 2 options for my fence. At this point things went from bad to terrible with Apex Fence. One of the options was at a cost of $4955 minus a credit of $500 and the other was a partial refund of what I had paid and no further work being completed. This was completely unacceptable to me. In the end, Brain returned my entire amount invoiced and paid however, this in NO WAY left me whole. I have damage to my property and items done incorrectly by Apex that now need repaired. Please be warned! From my experience: this company will not stand by their work, will not complete the work they agreed to and will not be truthful.
