This crew started to work for us on June 30th with the agreement that it would take 3 days and cost $1850 labor and $800-$1,000 in materials to rebuild our stairs and put in a new ceiling . They asked for $2,000 up front and I gave it to them - big mistake. They do not work consistently. They’d come 1 day and skip 3 days . They’d say they’d come back a certain day and not show up at all. Most of the time they’d only work 4 hours at best when here and NEVER accomplish anywhere near what they told me they planned to accomplish for the day . A three day job turned into 2 weeks . They were doing stairs for us and the stringers they hung were a joke . Our new contractor couldn’t even salvage them. Sooo many shims! After 2 weeks and that room still being completely torn apart , they asked for $1,150 more because they claimed they didn’t plan to replace the entire ceiling in that room but that was absolutely our agreement which we talked about on multiple occasions . Myself and Bobby even discussed if it would be cheaper to just patch it and then scrape the texture off of the rest of it . He said it would not be much if any cheaper to go that route so I said I’d rather stick with the original plan to replace it all then . After they asked for more money , my husband told them they could just finish the stairs then and we’d find someone else to hang sheet rock on the ceiling and we’d call it even . They said that was good with them but instead of doing that , they snuck out with their tools that day and never came back . They won’t respond to our calls or texts . They took our $2,000 and did very little work and what they did do was WRONG . We’ve had other handymen say the stair structure that they started for the stairs is complete junk . The two pieces of sheet rock they hung were so gapped they couldn’t be salvaged . Bobby Keesee was our main contact . Carl Sikes was on site on two ocassions but did very little of the work. We lost 3 weeks of time dealing with them and we are out $2,000 because the materials they bought were installed so poorly almost none of it was salvageable and their little bit of labor , was worthless. They actually only bought maybe $500 worth of materials anyways. They kept promising receipts (as we agreed on) but kept “forgetting “ them. -Courtney Humphrey
