Decatur Craftsman Style

May 2014

This homeowner had many renovations in progress, including hardscaping, a new deck, and a new pool. The last piece of the puzzle was to give the relatively new home it's first professional paint job. CertaPro was hired to do the following work: -Full pressure-washing of the exterior of the house and garage building. -Preparation of the full exterior to seal gaps and cracks, preventing moisture penetration and wood rot. -Full painting of the exterior surfaces of the house and garage building. -Stain application to the deck, screened-porch floor, and pergola.

Morningside Tudor Style Home

May 2014

This house looks fantastic. (Especially after we painted the exterior trim!) The interior is traditional with the nooks and crannies you would expect from a tudor-style home, but mixed with the modern decor of the tasteful owners. We hope the interior will be one of our next projects!

Southern Buckhead Manor

May 2014

We painted this project earlier this year with great enthusiasm. The owners of this palatial home trusted us with every detail of the full exterior painting project. Our project then extended to interior painting and the exterior painting of an office building that is owned by the family's business. We have grown our business over the last 8 years in Atlanta this way - through repeat business, referrals, word-of-mouth, and whatever sense of humor and charm we can bring to the table. I took pictures of many of the finer details of the property since it was impossible to catch it all from one camera angle. See more pictures below. At this home our work included: -Siding carpentry repairs. -Window brickmould and sill repairs. -Gutter repairs. -Full exterior pressure-washing and preparation of the surfaces to be painted. -Repaint of the interior of the garage. -Repaint of select interior areas.

Exterior Project

May 2014

Before CertaPro. This family estate in Druid Hills is seen here before the owner decided to restore her childhood home. After CertaPro. This was another project in which I was honored to be trusted in the restoration process.

Historic Tudor Home

May 2014

This 1920's home is located on Ponce de Leon Ave in the Virginia Highlands district of Atlanta. CertaPro helped this customer with a full exterior assessment of all damaged wood and helped select the appropriate products for the longest-lasting adhesion and color retention. She was so happy with our work that she came to work for us! It's nice to have a customer on your team.

Decatur Cedar Style Home

Mar 2014

This renovated house in Decatur was originally a ranch before it was transformed into this New England style cedar home. We followed these steps as part of the process: Step 1) Identify all wood rot and damaged areas. Step 2) Make repairs and replacements of damaged areas. Step 3) Reglaze old windows, scrape peeling paint, sand rough edges. Step 4) Prime bare wood surfaces, caulk gaps and cracks. Step 5) Repaint all exterior surfaces with premium quality paints and stains. This particular home required several different types of paint products depending on the substrate. -Gloss Acrylic paints were used on the trim. -Flat Acrylic paints for the novelty siding. -Floor enamels for the porch floors. -Solid Stain for the cedar shingles. -Sherwin Williams Preprite primers were used to seal new wood surfaces and old exposed wood surfaces. -Stain-blocking shellac-based primers were used selectively where knot-holes and other tannin stain bleedthrough was a concern.
