My Husband and I have been in business for over 30 years and we remember whats its like to be "new". So if we are able to help someone get started we do. We hired Braun Paint to caulk, prime and paint the interior of a home that we had just remodeled for a Client moving in from another state. Mark is the owner who met with my Son and Husband to bid the job. Mark said his "CREW of 4 to 5 guys" would be there on Sunday at 730am. One young man still in high school showed up at 8am and hung around waiting for his boss until about 10am and a couple more boys showed up after that. My Husband, Son and I talked and decided that a rough start didnt mean a rough experience so we gave Braun Paint the benefit of the doubt. Mark had assured us it would take him two days to get this house done, one day to prep and caulk and one day to paint, we were very elated by this. Not only did this not happen, they didn't even finish the caulking after 2 days of work. They did however manage to get caulk all over brand new hardwood floor, all down the walls, big gobs of it all over the trim, door casings and crown molding with no regard of where they got it. They tracked it all over the house because they did not put down any tarps or anything to protect any of the areas that they were working in. They also started painting the crown molding before they primed anything! My company decided to part ways, told Braun to stop working and leave the property. We did pay Braun $500 for their time [which I feel was unnessicary due to the damage they caused] and when my Son met Mark to pay him, Mark proceeded to try to intimidate my Son and belittle him. One of his workers even told my Son he should leave before things elevated. We had to hire another company to do the job and to fix all the mess and damage that Braun caused it is costing us an additional $2000.00 and that does not include the cleaning costs and cost of housing the Client due to this delay! Being a young company is not a pass for incompetence. If you are looking for a good painting company this is not it! Keep looking!
