Darwin Homes Property Management

We signed a year lease and moved in last night. From the very minute we got our keys we had problems. They let us move into a home that had NEVER been cleaned. When addressed about the unclean property in the middle of a pandemic they told us "they walked the property personally and it was clean". We found 1. Human feces on the toilet seat 2. Pubic hair throughout the master bath/room 3. Pet Stained carpets 4. Fridge still had spilled sticky liquid in the trays 5. Unswept floors 6. Black goo in the master closest 7. Trash thrown throughout the property (backyard & front) 8. Cigarette butts EVERYWHERE 9. Old tenants cigarette ashtray filled with cigarettes 10. Used old soap bar in the shower 11. Used toilet paper bits all over the back/ behind toilet. 12. Old dog feces throughout the backyard. After threatening to contact our lawyer they sent out a cleaning crew who did a wonderful job. I'm still waiting on a carpet cleaning. I have sent multiple emails, called and texted multiple people at Darwin and now it feels as though they are ignoring them. I have also gone as far as threatening to contact the homeowners because this is unacceptable in the middle of a pandemic! This is our first full day in the home and I'm already considering breaking our lease.
