80's Makeover | Sep 2015 | Loving to cook and entertain, this couple needed major help with their kitchen. The oven worked part of the time, the microwave had just called it quits, the plumbing was leaking, they had no pantry for storage and electrical issues began to cause hazardous conditions. Along with a non-functioning kitchen, the 30 year old décor had become troubling as well. With two different types of flooring, wood planks & logs as decorative accents, rotted out cabinets, a seven foot ceiling height and wallpaper from 1985 they decided the kitchen was due for a severe makeover. | $88k | Austin, TX
Open It Up | Sep 2015 | Tired of bumping into each other in their 95 square feet of kitchen space, this couple wanted to look at options of opening it up. Our goal was create an open concept feel by expanding the kitchen as well as incorporating the other living areas. After removing three walls, raising a portion of the ceiling, increasing structural bracing and adding a three-ply LVL beam; We transformed their 95 sq. ft. kitchen into 758 sq. ft. of open living space, along with gaining an amazing view into their added on Sun Room! Additionally, we installed new custom cabinetry, counter tops, flooring, lighting and appliances. The cabinetry features dovetail drawers, soft-close hardware, storage access on both sides of the island, a pull-out spice rack, double trash roll-out and an additional seating area. | $72k | Austin, TX
