This is a new start up by Jaime Rodriguez because he can no longer operate his other company, New Image Stucco, due to a large amount of fraud and criminal investigations that are underway. If you are approached by Jaime, do your research and then run the other way. I will post my BBB review below so that customers will have a point of reference. This dude is worse than a crook, he leaves in homes in ruin and runs off with homeowners hard earned money. His wife Veronica is his partner on this deal and she recently lot her insurance license and is under investigation for making false General Liability documents and providing those to homeowners. https://www.bbb.org/us/tx/austin/profile/plastering-contractors/new-image-plasteringstucco-0825-90005507 Jaime Rodriguez is the owner/operator of this business and after commissioning him to do four jobs, he is apparently one of two, maybe three employees depending on what time of day. Being in the construction industry myself, I’ve seen my fair share of shady contractors. Thankfully, the overwhelming majority of contractors in Austin practice with integrity and with business ethics. The great thing about 2019 is that the ones that don’t, they get exposed. Jaime Rodriguez and New Image need to be exposed before some unknowing homeowner contracts them out and not only lose money but get left with a financial nightmare on their hands. In the span of four weeks I’ve had two homeowners call me directly and emphatically say that Jaime is not allowed back at their property. All for the same reasons- he can’t be trusted, he’s shifty and the negligible amount of work done was shoddy. During this time he’s collected over 20k in deposits and draws, yet he’s only done about 2k in work. In 4 weeks. During this time he also looked me straight in the eyes and told me he had finished one of our projects in Westlake, knowing that my sales manager was going by that afternoon. Nothing was done, no one even bothered to show up. The next day he told me someone was there completing the work, again a lie. He then told me the homeowner told him to go away. The homeowner was in Seguin, not to mention he’s been expecting the work to be done for weeks. It’s a certain kind of sociopath to make these kinds of pathological outlandish lies. We’re now a month in and still no one has even bothered to show. I’ve eaten those costs and hired another company and work was completed in one day from our signed agreement. Jaime also has a penchant for going around the contractor whom he’s subbed out through and hitting the homeowners up for additional work and deposits. I have no interest in stucco but I do value my reputation and his behavior puts a black eye on my business and the entire construction industry when he’s milking customers for work not discussed and work that’s never delivered upon. When the dust settles we will have lost a little over 10k in deposits for work never done. I don’t expect to see that back and small claims rarely yield you anything. Fair warning local citizens: ***** Rodriguez is a crook and has the business acumen of one. He looks out for himself and you will be collateral damage. I assure you. Out of four projects, he’s batting 1000.
