Brad Weesner Design

I have worked with Brad Weesner since 2013 after being referred to his company through a former client I know who (like me) built a new office space after complete demolition. My mission was to create a Medical Spa in a 1300 sq foot space, on $50,000. Given the small budget, I could not afford to pay for an architect, so Brad personally flew to our location and took several days thoroughly measuring the space. He then created an architectural rendering of the office design on an amazing computer-aided app that my contractor could utilize for the build-out. After returning to his business site in Baltimore, he spent multiple sessions online with me and my contractor changing the design (right before our eyes) based on my goal of maximizing functionality and cost savings. It was quite magical watching the blueprint transform in real-time on my monitor with Brad and my contractor on the phone, and all of us in different physical locations! While the advice Brad gave regarding his design vision was very educational, he managed to incorporate changes we requested with good humor and ultimately helped us create a space that was truly practical, beautiful, and what we wanted. We had a demand for lots of storage area, so he created a strong and stable platform above our drop-down ceiling that is completely hidden from view. The clever design maximized work space, patient privacy, ambient lighting, and artwork which turned our medical office into a serene and spa-like environment. He achieved a contemporary, sleek, and sophisticated look, even down to the operating room which turned out so nicely that I never want to leave. Throughout the process (and despite the long distance) Brad kept coaxing us to define our brand, which helped create up-scale patient experience from check-in?to check-out. We intend to involve Brad in the next phase of our development ? moving to a new and larger space planned in early 2020.

We worked with Brad on several projects for The Maryland Institute College of Art, between 2007 through 2017. His work ranged from the historic Boardroom, several executive office, the 120,000 square foot Graduate Center, and an 80,000 square foot residence-life project including Leake Hall. He was integral to the team of Architects and Landscape Designer, among others. The programming and implementation of thousands of pieces of furniture and fixtures have been described and installed with “military precision”. The lobbies, galleries, café spaces, and student apartments are distinctive and have become highly desirable spaces at the school. The design has been very durable, and the look is classically timeless with an art school vibe. I would wholeheartedly recommend Brad Weesner for his design work. His projects were delivered on time and within budget.

My husband and I hired this firm 2 years ago to design multiple rooms in our new home. Unfortunately we had to file 2 lawsuits in civil and criminal court against this firm and individual. At present, despite numerous motions from the court, we still have not received our furniture pieces or reimbursement for the payment in full we made when we placed the orders 26 months ago. I would strongly urge anyone considering this individual or his firm to do significant background research both legally and financially before engaging in their services.
