The Scottish Inn

May 2016

The owners of the hotel have been clients of ours for a couple of years now so the job was anticipated and planned for completion before the summer kicked into high gear. The old wrought iron fence around the pool has finally worn out its last pool code inspection and needed fixing bad, we replaced it with the guardian doria aluminum pool fence by Jerith and everything went as planned. This project from start to finish took a two man crew just 2-1/2 days to complete.

Leo Ritzlers classic wooden privacy fence.

Apr 2016

Leo chose a classic wooden privacy fence and requested that we combine a few elements from one of our contemporary fence designs, so we worked closely together and came up with this beauty that Mr.Ritzlers has dubbed "The Galvestonian". It stands at 8' tall, with the poles set apart at just 4' instead of 7.5' to give our fence more durability as well as a sturdy, defined aesthetic. The pickets are attached to a 4rail system and then framed them in with 1x2" cedar furring strips custom cut to fit, giving this classic lattice top privacy fence a contemporary style that goes prfectly with the checkerboard lattice. We used 3" stainless steel screws for the frame and 1-5/8 " stainless to fasten the pickets and trim work. The fence also sits atop a 2"x 12" rot board and is capped off with a 2" X 6" Cedar board giving an already sturdy fence a sturdier look and curb appeal. Priced at right around $50 per linear foot, our customer definitely got what he paid for plus a lifetime warranty on our craftsmanship. The Ritzlers were so satisfied that they have since become repeat customers, adding more footage to their fence perimeter.

Warsaw privacy panels

Apr 2016

We installed 12' x 8' louvered panels to provide privacy for our customer when they entertained guests on summer weekends, and block the cold North winds in the winter. At $45 per linear feet (or $5.00 per sq. ft.) They definitely got what they paid for and more. After installing the panels, we added trim for a more appealing aesthetic and added an additional foot extension at the top for total privacy, blocking the view from nosey neighbors. We used a pre fab louver kit from home depot and fastened them to the concrete pillars with 2-1/2" wedge anchor bolts, the 5/4 x 6" deck boards were installed with 1-5/8" deck screw fasteners. Our customers Roane and Stephan were thrilled to say the least and we were pleased to have been able to guarantee their satisfaction and look forward to their repeat business.

Bay fence Christopher Susen house

Apr 2016

Our customer was looking to contain his dog and keep him from getting out, a problem he had prior to this install was that the dog would find every possible way out including chewing the chain link back and digging under the fence, so we buried the wire down 6" and built a steardy frame around the welded wire for extra durability. We chose the 4" x4" hog wire because of strength but also because it would leave a lot of visibility after installation and not take away the water veiw. 2" x 2" treated pine was used for framing and at the end of the day we built a completely escape proof fence for their dog. We also added a little flair with a custom gate.
