Shearer Painting

Justin the estimator and the actual paint team (a women and man- can't remember their names) were absolutely great to work with so five stars to them! However the office lady was unfortunately stinky. My house was a smaller job and its an older (100 year old) house we just purchased and are restoring. I searched long and hard for a company with great reviews and felt really good about Shearer because of their reviews and size, figuring they could more than handle the job. The job being a living room, dining room, hallway, small bathroom and bedroom all on one floor. The house was previously owned by a couple who lived, worked and basically never left for 20+ years. They were both heavy smokers. The house was disgusting to breathe in, part of the reason i wanted a good capable company to paint and get rid of the smell. The paint that has been done did get rid of the smell, so that's great! However dealing with the office lady to set up scheduling she was acting like my little job wasn't worth her time, that's the vibe I got. Then the last bill that came in via email they tried to over charge me by more than $2xxx (that's two thousand plus extra dollars) when I emailed back and corrected the bill they didn't apologize or say anything just sent a corrected bill for the amount I told them I knew I owed. That's a big mistake to make and then not say anything about it. Then I wrote back via email saying to please run my card for the corrected amount. No response. A day later I went to pay my dogs vet bill and my card got declined I was very confused and embarrassed because I knew there was enough money. Apparently they ran my card but did not send a final paid email statement or even let me know they had recevied my email saying to run the card. I called my bank and fixed the issue but it was quite unprofessional and not okay to run a business like that with money involved. I come from a large construction company family and it's too bad I wont be referring Shearer to anyone I know in the industry.

Both John and Justin were wonderful to work with. Justin was always prompt in getting back to me, not just on the front in during the 'sell' but throughout and amazing with the follow up. The entire crew was incredibly professional and diligent about cleaning up after themselves and did high quality work. I had a bunch of neighbors come over after the house was done and tell me how beautiful it looked!! I highly recommend this team!

Had an interior project to paint over wood walls in the upstairs of our home. they did a great job with the quality, details and level of service from start to finish. They worked with me on the estimate, scheduling, details and project scope, and were very communicative, helpful & courteous to work with. The rooms and stairs look great. Very polished and smooth, they filled in all the natural holes and panel lines to make it look better. The color in one of the rooms was not perfect – but that was our responsibility, not theirs – but overall, the rooms & stairs look fantastic. Shearer did a superb job. I would definitely hire them again. Thanks!

First class from beginning to end. Showed up on time, beautiful work and cleaned up (not just picked up, actually cleaned up!) when the work was done. Fantastic!
