Fine Pools

I have patronized Fine Pooks in Bessemer a little over 2 years and thought there service was decent. The two owners have also been to my home several times to work on the pool. In June of 2022, I was shopping for a pool vacuum and the owner Courtney recommended a product stating that it would work on my type of pool. Well the product did not work and when I took it back, in hope's of exchanging it for a robotic vacuum which was substantially higher, she would not except it back stating it was used. I explained to her that really it was not because it didn't work on my pool so I couldn't use it, to which she admitted she suggested the wrong product but still refused to take it back. I have never had a problem with her before and was a bit baffled at her poor customer service skills as they were lacking. I have found a more knowledgeable pool company that stands on their word. Perhaps that why they have a bigger clientele. Every one starts small but poor customer service is what will keep you small. Unfortunately I have to give at least one star because there is no option for no stars.

I used to come here 8yrs so and loved this place. I don't know what happened but it's not the same. This is my story... 1st off they're are a couple of young ppl running the store with no apparent older supervisor.. that's not a big deal, until till you have a problem. So this is what happened to me. I bought a brand new 18 ft round pool. Set it up and went here to get my chemicals and water tested. The girl told me I needed 80lbs of calcium along with other various things..I thought it was kinda alot of Calcium who am I to question? So I did as I was told. Well the problem started immediately. The water became what I would call watered down milk.... the filter clogged up terribly and when I went to clean it, it was pure chalk coming off in huge clumps... I had to continually clean the filter all weekend and it still looked the same. I went back to the store mon with a sample and told them what happened. They insisted that the water tested was great and said it should clear up and then sold me a water clarifier for 20.00. ( honestly since it was thier fault they should have given it to me but I kept quite) told me I could buy a new filter from them...😑. So I did the clarifier and it fogged up again.... clogged the filter.. THIS happened repeatedly... so for weeks every time I shocked the pool it would fog up and clog the filter to the point it almost burnt out my motor! So I felt I had no choice but to drain the pool and start over. I left 1 foot of water on the bottom... BIG MISTAKE. I filled it up again and shocked it.... BOOM!!! Milk again 😑 hundreds of dollars later my pool is green and I am looking for a new pool place. Note to the staff.. next time you mess up...own it and fix it for free. That's the right thing to do.
