TMI - Total Maintenance Inc

We called TMI based on a recommendation given to us by a friend. When we called, we told them that we needed someone to replace the speed sensor. A representative was sent out to our house. He told us he had to order a speed sensor and just to be safe a motor (???). We were told that it would be the following week until he could come back out. Roughly 2 weeks later, we heard from no one so we followed up with a call. We were told it would be another 7-10 days. When we asked if we found the part if someone would come and put it in, we were told they couldn't because the work wouldn't carry a warranty. I asked if they could just come and put in the speed sensor without worrying about the motor. I was told it was ordered together. We told them that we didn't believe the part was ordered when the rep came out. She said, it takes about 10 days and he ordered it on the 24th. Then, I asked if that was the case, then why were we being told we would have to wait 10 days from the call. I was told it was due to covid and the manufacture was slow. I called a local company. They will have the part to me on Friday. We will have someone else install it. When I called back and told them to go ahead and cancel the order because we found it, she said "Ok, may I ask where you got the part from?" When I told her about the local company, she said, that's where they get their parts from. I want to respond with grace, but that's a lot of stories and back and forth. I think it's wrong that we had to pay 75- for someone to come out and order a part that we told them we needed in the first place. This was a very frustrating experience and I am very disappointed.
