the entire time. One time he told me he was on vacation and I kept asking him when he would be back. A week later his only response was, "I told you a week ago I was on vacation ". Still no clue when it was going to be over. He finally returned our deposit 5 months later after we threatened legal action. Under no circumstances would I recommend this business.

Mid-February we contracted with this company to do a large double deck patio cover. This was to include demolition of an enclosed room area, extensive concrete, and an opening to our upstairs area. He told us it would cost $54,000. He was working on a large remodel project for our son, and his work was exceptional. My son was pleased, so we felt confident in choosing this company. We gave him 1/2 down to insure we were next in line. To be fair, I had told him to finish my son's project before starting ours. However, once we signed, everything began to change. He stopped communicating with my son. Almost every day, something was not done correctly. Many days he simply did not show up at all with no consideration to my Son's family. They did not know if they could stay home, or needed to leave. We began to wonder if we had made a huge mistake, but we tried to think positive. He finally finished the job in April. We were told h would be there the following Monday. He never called, messaged, or came. I messaged him asking what happened, and he did not reply. I called, and the call was refused. By June, and after many refused calls, calls forwarded to voice-mail, we were agitated. Eventually we said we wanted to know if he truly wanted to do the job at all. After a week, he returned that call and stated he would be by to talk Monday morning. Again, no call, and he didn't come. My husband began calling every three days, along with a text. By now, it is almost the middle of June! He finally texted he was on vacation, and would call when he got back. Immediately, my husband texted him, and asked when he would be back in town. He texted him for 2 weeks with no reply! By now, I am done. On June 29 I texted him and told him that this had dragged on too long. The lack of communication, the refused calls, the sent to voice-mail, the way he refused to talk to us was unacceptable. I gave him till July 6 to give us our money back, that it was to be a cashiers check. We simply wanted to part ways. He sends me a text July 7, stating he would be in town by 5, and we would have our money. At 6 he texts me his bank would be closed, and he would bring it to me in the morning. Granted, I was happy, but annoyed he now would be 2 days past my deadline. For the first time though, he was true to his word. He returned the money. With all this said, I would never recommend this company to anyone. You can not trust him. I wish I could give him 0 stars, as he does not deserve 1.

We contracted with the owner last February to do a huge patio project. The total cost was to be 54k. At the time he was doing a project for our son and thought his work was very done. We gave him a down payment of $27000. I had told him to finish my son's project, but it wasn`t completed until April. By April we began calling him and either he ignored the call, refused to answer, or said he would come by on a Monday. This went on until July! He simply refused to communicate! We finally texted that he was on vacation, and when we asked when he would be back, he refused to reply. By now we have decided enough was enough. I texted him one more time and explained his lack of communication was ridiculous and we wanted our money back in the form of a cashiers check in one week..July 6. Again, no response until July 7 saying he would be back in town around 530 and would bring a check. Suddenly he was communicating! We did get the money back on July 8th. I would never recommend this company to do any project. Have no idea hownhe has stayed in business.

We used this company after he contacted us through this site porch.com. We hired him to complete the interior construction for our new home. The owner of this company lied to us at every moment he could. Was disrespectful when he was confronted on faulty work. He promised one thing and delivered another. He lacked every bit of professionalism and communication. He broke the gate to our property by driving through it and lied about it until being confronted with video footage. He has yet to apologize about it. Please do not use this company for anything. They can’t be trusted with your money. We didn’t get what we paid for. We were promised a move in ready home but that couldn’t be farthest from the truth. We are having to spend lots of time repairing, cleaning and finishing what we paid to have done. And as we do so, we continueto find even more defects. They left a mess from grout after completing the tile. The tile is uneven, some places it sticks up so much we could cut our foot on it. The bedroom doors they installed are uneven, and won’t close properly. The kitchen cabinet doors are not even, some don’t close all the way. Just to name a few. They never cleaned up after themselves, we’ve cleaned up food wrappers, drinks, trash, saw dust, left over materials, Sheetrock and grout messes. He uses the cheapest of materials, but up-charges as if you are receiving the best. Our trim is a joke, it is already chipping and we have not even moved in yet. This is just a glimpse of the mess he left. Trusting people with your money is already hard as is, so we will do everything in our power to make sure no one is effected by this joker again. This whole experience has been a nightmare, I am beyond disappointed with the outcome however we are so glad to not have David Serna in our lives anymore.
