  | Built ins and mantle | Feb 2018 | Removed original mantle and shelves that were bowing. Cut about 10” off original chase for more room square footage. Made the shelves 10” wide with an upright trim piece on the face to help with support to prevent future sagging. Used 3/4” hardwood ply to also help with strength. The face of mantle and cabinets are made out of poplar. Everything was hand made, including cabinet doors.
