You can’t be too careful when hiring a contractor. These folks can do good work but they do take advantage if you don’t watch out. We were dumb enough to get strung along for two years trying to get our project completed. They follow the common practice of taking jobs with a deposit and then pulling “draws” along the way. If you don’t keep enough of a “payment on completion” they will disappear and chase the next job. It’s like pulling teeth to get them back. The list of excuses and no-shows is staggering. There are lots of reviews out there showing how they operate. Maybe worth a shot for short jobs or if you can hold back payment until the job is 100%. Just be super careful!

Our home is on their Facebook, dated 5-1-2021. Titled “Work We Do. It should be title, “Work we start, but never finish.” We hired them March of 2021, to rebuild our front porch, paint the wall and columns and also paint a small balcony on side of the house. All work to be completed by the end of May, 2021, except for staining the porch, to allow the new wood to dry. The price of the job was over $10,000.00, to be paid in 3 installments. One third to start the job, one third half way through the job, and final payment when job was finished. First and second payments were on a credit card. After they finished building the porch, and no painting was even started, Ron and his wife stood right in front us, and asked if we wouldn’t mind us paying them the final payment because they could really use the funds, with promising us they would finish the job. Also asking for a check and not a credit card, cause they needed the money now. I write them a check for over $3000.00, and they drive off. Ten minutes later, South State Banks is calling me to tell me some people are at their drive thru trying to cash a large check form my account. I knew it was a red flag, but still thought I could trust them. I mean, look at their Facebook page, wouldn’t you trust them? That’s when the nightmare dealing with these people started. They never came back to finish the painting or would even answer my calls, until the end of June, when I left them a message, that the next call would be from my lawyer. Then they finally come out, only for short periods of time, doing very little, substandard work. The stain on the porch is horrible. We will have to get it redone along with getting the rest of the painting finished. This is only touching the tip of the iceberg, of what a nightmare it’s been trying to work with these people for 18 months for a job that should of taken a couple of weeks at the most. The work you see on their Facebook took them about a week to do, just enough for them to post the video. I am 68 years old and retired, had just bought this place. My wife and I were so excited about doing some remodeling. It’s bad enough that we got scammed, they are using my house on their Facebook to do the same to others.

The owner needs to have his drivers license taken away from him...I saw him run several people off of the road over rge course of 15 miles on hwy 515 he appeared to be traveling 20+ miles over the posted speed limit. He put people's lives in danger, not to mention my family, when he would not let a vehicle pass him and had to slam on his brakes, he almost hit me too...if he does his "handyman services " like he drives I hope his buisness fails.

Had the company due a screened in porch for our tiny home in Blue Ridge, Ga. The work was completed in a timely manner and the quality of the workmanship met the standards we desired. However after about a couple of weeks a couple of the screens separated from the frames. After sending two emails which were answered stating that the repairs would be taken care of the work hasn’t been done over a month later. Now my emails are not being answered at all. This is a weekend getaway home an hour and a half away from where I live. So coming up here this weekend with ladders and the tools needed to do the repair work myself. So thanks Blue Ridge Handyman for having me spend part of my Memorial Day weekend doing your job for you. It is always disappointing when you hire someone to do a job, they get paid, and then basically take the money and run. Disappointing that I have friends in the area that in the future will be in need of the services of a handyman and I will not recommend them.
