J-Pro Pools & Spas

We've used JPro for three summers now and just had to end our services with them. They have opened/closed our pool each season and we pay for monthly service calls. We take care of our pool in between so minimal contact with the office needed during the summer usually. Last summer we had issue with their opening but we stayed with them. This year I made the mistake of giving them my card to charge automatically which unfortunately for me they double charged for the month of June. The monthly calls are not on any regular schedule and usually consist of less than 30 min visits (I've kept track by watching when their truck arrives/leaves but their work orders insist they're here longer). As long as they were cleaning and doing their work I didn't mind the quick visits. This summer there has been confusion by the office staff as to when our first service call was performed and they double booked our monthly service call in June causing us to be charged our monthly service fee twice for the month of June. I called and pointed this out and was assured we wouldn't be charged in July. After I received invoice in July I called again and spoke with different office staff member and was told that I was charged for what was done but she'd check with the owner about credit. I asked that the owner consider that there were two invoices showing MONTHLY service for same month (most likely happened because of his staff double booking monthly appt) and I asked that they issue credit on my account for that amount. The owner called me back and was extremely rude - he did say 'yes you were charged for two monthly visits in one month but I have work orders there's nothing to be done.' I pointed out he just said monthly service was charged twice in one month- I still don't understand why this is a hard concept for them to comprehend. He ended our call by hanging up. Apparently not concerned with losing customers- I guess just more concerned with stealing my money for services their office staff erroneously scheduled. I called back to point out how rude that owner hung up on me and they are now saying that the second call was a 'service' call - it says on invoice 'monthly service fee' so isn't it convenient when they realize their mistake that they can verbally change their line item? We will be going with service from a professionally run company for the future. Save yourself loads of frustration and money and go with another company. Never give JPro your credit card information - the office staff can't even accurately tell you if staff has been to your house for a visit shouldn't be trusted to calculate charges.
