Beachhouse in Ocean City MD | Jan 2012 | The Beach House was a complete gut renovation of an oceanfront apartment built in 1982. _______________________________________________ The design phase started in April 2012 and took 2 months, including obtaining the building permit. Extensive design studies and detailed interior sketches were produced to help the owner visualize the finished residence. The construction phase lasted 5 months and was completed in October 2012. _______________________________________________ The mechanical, plumbing , electrical and HVAC forced-air systems were replaced with state-of-the-art equipment and technology. Per building requirements rooms had to be reconfigured around the existing plumbing risers and vertical vent shafts. Increasing ceiling heights throughout the residence was particularly important to the owner, and was an interesting design challenge. _______________________________________________The owner was very pleased with the outcome and satisfied that her stated goals were met with respect to openness, maximizing ocean views, reconfiguring the kitchen and living/dining rooms, higher ceilings and upgrades to all systems. | $150k | Ocean City, MD | |
