He is a Conman for sure he received my money, came out, and did half of the job then vanished. Everyone beware he will run off with your money!!!!!

Absolutely terrible!!! Agreed to build a lean to shed attached to the back of my house for $1200. After approximately 4 hours of work, where he mostly talked on the phone to his wife Kelly and an embarrassment of what he called a shed, he said he needed more money for the hours it would take to complete. When I said "no, we agreed upon a price" Kelly called me threatening and name calling. He took off with my $600 and haven't heard from them since. It took me only 1/2 hour to take down the mess he left. I was mistakenly under the impression he was screened by Porch.com.

MY EXPERIENCE WAS HORRIBLE!!! I had to fire him as the build quality was very poor and I could trust nothing he said. I needed an entertainment center redone because the TV opening was to small for today's televisions. At first he seemed very eager and showed me pictures of projects he claimed he built. They were very nice and seemed perfect for the space. I wrote him a check for half the balance and couldn't wait for it to begin. As the start date approached, I had not heard from him and gave him a call. He acts surprised by my call and sets a new start date while spinning excuses. That sets the tone as his attention to the project is spotty and the excuses keep spinning. The work is done in fits and starts and poly done. He claimed to spend a bunch of money on materials but I can see that he's just cutting up what's already there and slapping it up and smearing with Kilz hoping I won't notice. He even stole the old drawers and cabinet doors claiming that they were destroyed in the demolition. He'll probably use them on another project and claim he built them himself. I point out the low quality and he tells me he needs more money to do what he promised to do in the first place. I realize that I have hired what I realize is a conman and fire him. I have an ugly mess in my living room and Im out the money I gave Shawn. I don't know if Porch will make it right as he's supposed to be one of the "professionals" they screen. He's a professional, just not in construction.
