Ector Paint Company

We added an additional room to the back of our house by an area contractor which did a very good job. He used Ector Paint Co. for all his painting. We received a quote for the roughly 435 sq/ft room at $1400.00. Which we thought was a little high but decided to go with it. After completing the job we had to have them come back a few times to correct some areas which we learned was a big mistake. When we got the bill it was for $3700.00. Not only was it way over budget but they still had places to fix on the walls. I'm not sure how a business can stay in business treating people this way. We were never notified that the job would be nearly 3 times the amount. We have since learned from the contractor that this is a familiar practice this company does but he states it has never been this bad. They never contacted us at any time or our contractor to tell us it will be more than quoted. In addition they scratched our newly finished hard wood floors which they acknowledge they probably did but will not pay to fix them. Luckily the company that did the floors is going to fix them for free. I am writing this review so that hopefully others will not use such a company that is not trust worthy and will charge you extra to come out and fix places that messes up on. And damage your floors at the same time. We asked for an itemized bil and got some hours scribbled on a piece of notebook paper to match their final bill which was quite convenient. There were no dates and the itemized bill said for 3 people but we never saw more than two people. Desired Outcome/Settlement Desired Settlement: Other (requires explanation) Not sure anything can be done now since our contractor has paid the bill we are now obligated to pay our contractor which we have. I just want the company to know that they are reported with the BBB so that hopefully someone else want be railroaded like we were. I will make sure I advertise them on every site they are on. I work too hard for my money to be taken advantage of and I don't want it to happen to anyone else.
