This is in response to Mark. My complaint is based on facts. For any needed proof, I will be more than happy to email pictures of the issues. The review is based on the fact the issue I called about was not fixed. Not only was it not fixed, the technicians caused more issues . The original call was made to the home warranty company to address why the top floor of my house would not cool. No cool air was reaching that floor. Number one: The basement doors were not like that when we moved into our house. I showed my husband what I had seen when I came downstairs. He stated that he did not cause the damage that was seen. There was also additional damage caused. The air filter, which I put in on Sunday before they came out, was smashed. I also had a random hose sticking out in my hallway leaking water onto the floor. 2.The first day, the issue was not fixed. I had to call to get McClafferty's to come back out. 3. The second time Mclafferty's came out, I did not have any cool air in my entire house. 4. I called Mclafferty's to have the issue fixed as soon as I noticed it. They refused to come out that night. In my opinion, if a business causes an issue after they come over, they should come back to fix the issue. A good business would have come back over that night to address the problem. Mark stated that his company did not cause the problem. The only times I could have someoen come back out were late at night due to my and my husband's work schedule. Mark even threatened to call his lawyer on me if I wrote a review to the BBB about his company. 5. I had another company come out the next night. They did not charge me an emergency service fee. When they came over, they noticed the unit in the basement had ice on it. The tubes and hoses were all frozen to the unit in the backyard. One of the handles was shoved./rigged into wires to hold it up also. This company saw the unit needed coolant, and fixed the issue in under an hour. I am not sure why two technicians could not figure out what was causing the issue. The lack of coolant really seems like a simple and routine thing to check when performing a service call. I was informed warranty companys use companys that have young, inexperienced technicians. Clearly this was the case. Once again, I have pictures and receipts if anyone needs them. This is a response from someone who presents a lack of maturity. They try to hit below the belt. I think the warranty company can be more than happy to clarify what was stated when I called them. You are the third party here. You were not actually at the house to assess the situation, My pictures are all time stamped FYI. All of your information is based on what your technicians have told you. And yes, I am a very happy person . I just speak the truth when something is not done correctly or there is bad customer experience. I recommend you hire technicians with more experience who know what they are doing. Also, go take a course in customer service. Threatening to sue someone over a negative review is pretty entertaining as well :-)

Worst HVAC company is the area. Dishonest and will end up making issues much worse instead of better. Luckily, HSA warranty company is paying for their service, so I only had to pay the 75 dollar service fee. I called to have my top floor issue resolved. The air conditioner was not cooling the top floor of my house, so Mclafferty's came out. When I came home and saw my basement, I was appalled. The doors were thrown off the hinges, the filter was smashed in, and I even had a pipe draining water in the hallway. Plus, the top floor still was not blowing cold air. I called and I scheduled them to come out again. The second time, I came home to a warm house the day after Mclaffertys had come out. The thermostat read 78 degrees. I checked the air panels, and now, no cold air was flowing to my second floor. My entire house is now not cooling. Before I went to bed on Monday, the day the technician came out, the thermostat read 73 degrees. That did not throw up a red flag at the point, and I went to sleep. The next morning, the thermostat read 74. My house is set at 70 degrees, and it never goes above that temperature on that floor. I decided to see what the temperature was when I got home. It was then I noticed it was 78 degrees, and no cold air was blowing. I called, and the first thing I was told was they did not do it. They also had the audacity to tell me that lightening may have hit something to make it not work correctly. They stated it was an intermittent problem, and it must have happened after they left. I explained that this was not working when the guy had left our house, and that I just noticed the issue. Then, I was accused of lying. The person on the phone, I think it was Mark, told me that he could not come out that night. If they had to make an emergency service call, I would have to pay the emergency service fee. When I have service done, If something is messed up by the company performing the service, I expect it to be fixed correctly. Not only could Mclaffertys not do this, they are quick to place the blame on the customer. Ever have a company mess more stuff up then fix it? Well, if you want to use a company like that, call Mclaffertys heating and cooling. Update : I received a second opinion on 08/17/2016. After the no air issue, I wanted someone to come out who had really good reviews. North Pittsburgh Heating and Cooling came out. He noticed right away that ice had built up on my system. (This was caused the day after McClarfferty's left). Tim showed this to me as soon as he noticed it.. also, someone had rigged up one of the airflow handles . I then had to wait an entire day to fix this issue due to the ice buildup, and I was told the issue was lack of coolant in the system. The coolant was put in on Thursday, and now my system works fantastically. It took an hour for them to fix the issue. I am not sure why Mclafferty's could not manage to notice this the two times they were out. Also, the fact that they could not fix their mess up as soon as I called to address it lets a customer know what kind of company they are.
