This dude is literal trash. Showed up 40 minutes late to an appointment time he set up for a quote. Took a look at what I wanted done and said he could have it done the next week "no problem". After hammering out some timeline details, he asked for my deposit so he could "go buy the materials for the job". We agreed on 50% deposit up front, the other 50% upon completion. He then proceeded to charge my card 60% of the quoted price and told me that his payment app will auto-generate an invoice to my email. It didn't. As we entered the next week, he pushed the job date back 2 days later than he originally told me, which was no big deal at the time. That's when he went radio silent. No update on that invoice that never arrived, even though I had asked him to resend it. No ETA for the day of the job, even though I asked for it in the days leading up to the install date. I finally get ahold of him the morning of the job and he tells me he is repairing a fence for another client in a city a half hour away and that when he wraps that up, he'll come knock out my project "no problem." Meanwhile, I'm sitting at work wondering how he is going to install a fence before the sun goes down (it's November, so imagine 4:45pm darkness) if he's not even going to get to my property until later in the day. But hey... what do I know? He's a professional, right? Surely he knows what he's doing. Wrong. He never bothered to show up to my house for the entire day. Never bothered to call with an update. No contact. He messages me the following day and says something came up and that he could knock out the job later that week. "No problem", he says. Like he didn't just ghost me for half a week after taking my money and then not bother to show up literally the day of the job without even a phone call or text. By this time, I had already done a little more research on his "company" and discovered this is a pretty common business practice for Cristian Velazquez. I then declined his services and asked for a refund of my deposit. He, again, went radio silent. No responses and haven't heard from him since that morning. I recommend that if, for some reason, you are referred to this guy through Home Advisor (he deleted his Thumbtack business profile in order to avoid having to refund me through their dispute center) or any other method, to imagine what it's like to just set hundreds of dollars on fire and watch them vanish into thin air up front of your face. It will be the exact same experience you'll have doing business with this thieving POS.

I wish I could give 0 stars! I made a contract with Cristian Velasquez, the owner of Velasquez Fence & paint, to fence my backyard, after I saw his crew putting up a neighbor’s fence. He came back with a decent price, shook my hand, and said he needed half the money up front to start my job. I handed over $1400.00 to him, and he gave me a receipt, this is when my nightmare started. Three weeks passed and no communication from him, I called at least 15 times, but I couldn’t even leave a message, because his mailbox was always full. When I finally did get a hold of him, he said he was in the hospital, and then had to go into quarantine, and offered to refund my money. Well, he is a scammer, liar and a thief, because I am still waiting for a refund! It’s been weeks now, don’t use this guy, I am taking him to court.
