I Hired Randy Torres on September 14th and also told him we needed flooring so he begged me to hire his dads company. Randy misquoted the flooring job and had to come back and add a lot more money which we explained was way over our budget. Randy promised to give me a great deal on the countertops for our trouble. He only has a very few colors on hand and so I showed him what I wanted. He said it would take a few days to get that and he would contact me. He never did. I have since contacted him by text several times and he always gives short vague responses like he’s waiting on another job to finish. it’s now been almost a month since he measured our space. He said he would call me when he was free and that was 3 days ago with no response. He also said prior to that he would install next Wednesday, but he doesn’t even have our sinks, so I don’t know how he can fabricate and install without them. He answers texts and says, he will call and never does. He makes a lot of great promises, but in the end, I have yet to see him show me what he will be installing or call me to put me on the schedule. Tired of begging him to be a responsible professional. Also, the flooring job went just “okay”. My husband saved that job because he spoke Spanish and he did most of supervision. Little supervision by GC and I just today found a closet that someone forgot to place a transition strip in!! Also we had to fix a low spot with cardboard because they said it would take too much leveler. Hopefully the floor doesn’t come apart there. I would not hire Randy because he has very few color choices and makes a lot of promises and then never calls. My feeling is he didn’t want to honor the great price on the granite that he promised and is now just stringing me along until I just go away. Not a professional as I would define one. Buyer beware.
