  | Shiboleth Basement Waterproofing and Renovation | Nov 2015 | This project was a complete design build which came with its own set of unique challenges. The property is south shore waterfront with an original build date of 1904. Although the foundation walls and floors were structurally sound, both were built with porous materials which presented a constant moisture condition. To remedy this condition ECH removed all existing finishes from the basement. Relocated all penetrations to a minimum of 6' HT , including all utilities, services, and plumbing . We then used the Sealboss epoxy injection system to close all voids in the foundation walls. From there we lined the entire basement walls and floor with a 60 mil rubber membrane and poured a new 4" reinforced slab on top. We framed all new perimeter walls and shot closed cell spray foam insulation to bond the membrane to the framing. The basement was split into 2 parts. 1/2 finished 1/2 unfinished. | Rayburn Project | Oct 2014 | This project was a conversion of existing space to suite the customers needs. Having recently purchased the property, our customers realized the existing floor plan was completely dysfunctional and with the help of our design team decided to convert the 2 bedrooms downstairs into a wonderful 1st floor master suite with a walk in closet and beautiful master bathroom.
