My papaw does a great job at his job

Our neighbor called us recently while we were on vacation, saying that a large limb had broken in one of our Wild Cherry trees, but was being supported by a limb in another tree, keeping it from falling to the ground. We had previously used Wesley Kirk Tree Service, and were very satisfied with work, price, clean-up, etc., so I called Mr. Kirk. He said he would come and look at the job, then call us back with an estimate, which promptly did. We also had a large Ash tree that had died over the winter, just a few feet away from the Cherry tree. I asked him about removing it, as well. He quoted us a price, we agreed, and he removed that tree, as well, saying we could pay him when we returned home. We returned home to find the tree gone and the mess fairly well cleaned up, but with a large stump (approximately 3 feet tall and 3 feet in diameter) remaining. When we spoke, I didn't ask him to remove the stump, and I didn't expect it to be ground out; however, I did expect to find it cut off close to the ground, not sticking up like a sore thumb. I called Mr. Kirk and asked if he would cut it off closer to the ground. He said it would be no problem, and that he would do it when he came by to collect for the job. He stopped by the next day, but forgot to bring a chain saw, and said he would do it the next day. After that conversation, my wife noticed two limbs in another Wild Cherry tree that had apparently been damaged when the Ash tree was removed. The limbs are not completely broken free of the tree and are being supported by another limb. It's been nearly three weeks since that conversation, and my phone calls (to his office and cell phones) regarding the stump and the two broken limbs have gone unanswered/un-returned, as has a text message. On top of this, the first day we talked I referred him to a friend who hired him for a fairly large job. Some thanks!
