Would not recommend. Waste of money, unprofessional and our tech did not seem to know what he was doing. I hired another company who sent a technician and he was able to properly diagnose and fix the issue within 30 minutes.

UPDATE ON 7/30/2019 REVIEW: On 7/31/2019, I filed a complaint with the NC State Board of Examiners of Electrical Contractors against Mr. Bean. On 8/7/2019, I met with the investigator who was handling the matter. He had spoken with Mr. Bean earlier that week, and Mr. Bean promised that although he did not return my money on July 27, 2019, he would return it on 8/14/2019. After not hearing from Mr. Bean on that day, I reached back out to the investigator, who called Mr. Bean again. Mr. Bean assured him that the money would be returned to me on 8/21/2019. I finally got the money back from Mr. Bean on 8/21/2019, which was 6 weeks after our initial meeting, and 5 weeks after I gave it to him. On September 3, 2019, Mr. Bean texted me regarding my first review and requested that I remove it. I did not respond. Today, September 20, 2019, he contacted me and is threatening to take me to court if I do not remove my review. He indicated that the review is impacting his livelihood and ability to feed his family. I'm amazed at his audacity. When the shoe was on the other foot and his actions were impacting my future and wellbeing, Mr. Bean cared less and displayed blatant disregard and disrespect for my situation. Again, he even verbalized that I could not do anything to him because all I had between us were text messages. I believe wholeheartedly I would have never seen a dime of the money I gave him, had it not been for the involvement of the NC State Board of Examiners of Electrical Contractors. The additional delays to the project caused by his refusal to return my money have resulted in huge financial losses, as well as an incredible amount of unnecessary mental and emotional stress. I welcome the thought of him taking me to court so I can counter for all that he put me through, including pain and suffering. I have no intent of removing my review. This forum was created so individuals such as me would have an outlet for sharing their personal experiences with contractors. None of it is fabricated, and all of it is documented. I have no intent on removing a thing, so, I will post another review after Mr. Bean and I have our day in court.

RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!!! Let me start by saying if I could give them less than a zero, I would! I work for a major hotel chain that was recently renovated. On Saturday, July 6, 2019, I met Shane Bean, whose company, Bean Construction, was at the hotel performing work. I spoke with him about another contractor I had hired to install a full bath, a half bath and a laundry closet in my home (first mistake). The contractor ultimately took my money, destroyed my home and never completed the work. Shane informed me that his company did commercial and residential work, and agreed to come and inspect my property and give me a quote to finish the work. I informed him in advance that I had a limited budget, due to the situation with the first contractor, and if their price was more than that, I would not be able to move forward with them. Shane came and inspected my property on Saturday, July 13, 2019, and agreed to do the work for the amount I had. On Tuesday, July 16, 2019, he requested that I meet him at another site where he was finishing work to bring him $600, which was half of the total cost of the project. I met him at the location and gave him $600 in cash. They were to start the work on Wednesday, July 17, 2019; however, he sent me a text message that morning advising that he would wait until the next day, since I was having carpentry work done. On Thursday, July 18, 2019, Shane sent a text message inquiring as to whether or not the carpentry work had been completed. I called him several times from work on Friday, July 19, 2019, but he did not answer. On Saturday, July 20, 2019, he sent a text asking if the carpentry work had been completed and I let him know he could come and get started. Two hours later, he sent a text saying he would be there the next day. He sent a subsequent text saying he would be in Columbia all day the next day and would come on Monday to get the project finished. I informed him that I needed the work done on Sunday and could not wait. He said he would put the job in Columbia on hold and be there. On Sunday, July 21, 2019, I waited all morning for Shane to arrive. He never showed up and did not answer any of my calls that day. I left a message informing him that I was not comfortable with the way things were going, and I was especially concerned, given my experience with the last contractor. I informed him I had already been duped once and if he could not do the work as scheduled and agreed, he needed I did not want to move forward with his company and he needed to refund my money. Shane texted me that night and informed me that he was offended I had compared him to my last contractor, and he would return my money the next day. On Monday, July 22, 2019, Shane sent a text advising that he and his father would be there first thing the next morning to complete the work. He did not appear. I called and told him that I could no longer wait for him and needed to move forward with the project. He assured me he would be there at 9 am the next morning to do the work. On Wednesday, July 24, 2019, Shane sent a text at 8:50 am asking for my address. I called several times, and he did not answer. I sent a text at 9:33 am providing him with my address. I called several times after that, but, again, he did not answer my calls. I went to his place of residence and requested to speak with him. His wife advised that he was upstairs sleeping! It was late afternoon by this time. He ultimately came to the door and told me that he was spending time with his family and would come do the work the next day. I advised that I was no longer interested in his services in any way, and wanted all of my money refunded. He proceeded to say that he did not have anyone to help him do the work that day, unless I wanted to help him. I informed him I wouldn't have paid him if I was going to help him but that was no longer an issue and I wanted all of my money back and nothing further to do with him or his company. He said he didn't have any money, and there was nothing I could do to him because all I had were text messages between the two of us. I advised him that I would be taking him, his company and anyone affiliated to court for the return of my money, and I left. Later that day, he sent me a text message advising that he would leave a money order at my place of business on Saturday, July 27, 2019, refunding my money. I called his brother to make him aware of what had transpired, and he said he would ensure my money was returned to me. Saturday has come and gone and, to date, I still have not received a refund. I have called both Shane and his brother, but they have both blocked my number and will not return my calls. They preyed upon my situation and took full advantage of the trust I had in them, due to their relationship with my employer I am filing a complaint with the Secretary of State and will be taking them to court for the money I gave him, as well as pain and suffering.
