I have been a builder of new homes for over 30 years. I started in the industry during the summers of my high school and college years working in the framing and masonry trades. The hands on experience has been an asset to me for my entire career; knowing the nuts and bolts of how a home comes together is truly a craft. I have used this experience in formulating design and for detailed project management. I have managed homes as a jobsite superintendent, overseeing the build process, a project manager overseeing several communities and managing a builder staff, a Vice President of construction managing the entire homebuilding operation for a 400+ home per year national home builder and as a Chief Operating Officer managing the overall homebuilding operation and customer experience. Since relocating to Charlotte 19 years ago I have had the privilege to work with Inland homes (Florida), Pulte Homes, M/I Homes and Mattamy Homes. During that time I was growing homebuilding companies, however each promotion took me farther away from what I truly enjoyed, being on site, building homes and interacting with customers. Having always aspired to manage my own home building company, I started AMD Construction Services managing reconstruction, remodeling and new home construction. Thirty years of experience has taught me many things regarding Architectural Design, the Science of Homebuilding and operational efficiencies. However, the most important lesson has been that I am building not a structure, not a house, but a HOME. Home is where the best part of living happens
