  | Biltmore Project - Remodeling | May 2013 | This remodel project was done on a house built in the 1940's. The floor plan was very closed up and outdated. The kitchen and living room were completely separate. We started by providing a more modern approach by opening the space between and doubling the size of the kitchen. The kitchen was then completely gutted and built back custom to the owners taste. The kitchen includes an 8'x5' island with a farm sink centered in the middle. On the top are white marble counters over custom built cabinets in a light gray lacquer finish. Over the top of the island are two custom brass pendants. | Charlotte, NC | |
  | Providence Plantation | May 2013 | This project was an extensive remodel. This home was transformed from a 1970s ranch into a mid century modern home that is one-of-a-kind to the Charlotte area. On the exterior, this home is finished with tongue and grove cedar siding and large cement board panels cut and trimmed into a specific random pattern. The staircase is cantilevered outward and has a floor to ceiling window that opens it up to all the natural elements in the two acre front yard. It is a modern Mediterranean style home with an eclectic collection of European finishes throughout. As you enter the foyer there is plaster dome ceiling that has been hand painted by an artist with a bright scene of the sky and clouds. The Foyer is draped with a hand blown glass chandelier that looks like a bright blue star in the center of the room. The home is finished with natural, six inch wide walnut floors and random pattern travertine throughout the kitchen and master bedroom.
