The home owner, retired female U.S.A.F. Colonel was ready for a warm, cozy and relaxed living environment in which to reside for her permanent residence. After an in depth interview her hobbies (photography), childhood loves (horses), Vintage & mid century modern & shabby chic were identified as her design styles. Each and every item was hand selected by Dawn herself with the likes and lifestyle of the home owner/client. This relaxed and inviting space is a real place for her to retreat with all of the things around her that are personal to her such as- the custom made vintage camera light fixture,custom designed pillows, window treatments,wall art, area rug, mirror,the furniture refinished to compliment the overall design by Dawn herself! The contents were compiled over a 2 wk. period and installed in 2 days inc. the wall paint application. This living room will be published in Vogue magazine in 2016!!

This home's 1960's Master En-suite was in it's original condition, pink & green, very small and in poor condition. The space has been double in size and all contents removed including the walls and floor to replace rot in the shower and to enlarge the room. The plumbing & electrical have been updated and additional recessed lighting has been installed. The design includes an all glass shower with oversized rain shower head and recessed wall nook. The walls and floor are porcelain tile with black ceramic center trim, double vanity with open concept shelving and rubber bronze faucets, walls are painted in metallic pewter, custom refinished mirror by DDT Designs, Kohler commode, two custom recessed wall nooks for storage as well as a corner linen closet, new over sink light fixture & Staged. This eclectic living room has been designed with Dawn's clients design & lifestyle in mind! All throughout the space are fun finds of things the couple loves, aviation, photography, pottery etc.. The hand made Persian area rug creates drama to an otherwise neutral room. Custom ottoman & pillows in multiple patterns and textures add to the unique look of this home. All of the windows have been replaced with energy efficient thermal windows.

The home owners had purchased a lovely 1930 historic home in Chattanooga with the original electrical (knob and tube) & plumbing. The kitchens last update was in the late 70's and really needed a total renovation for functionality, safety & esthetics! The design includes reconfiguration of the floor plan. By removal of the oversized peninsula, relocating the refrigerator to the pantry closet, and moving the dishwasher the space is now fully functional and spacious. The original cabinetry has been updated with fresh white on the uppers (with a hint of blue) lowers in a custom dk blue/teal paint, glass fronts & shelves, LED lighting, Swarovski Crystal hardware, partial open concept cabinetry,new electrical with added recessed lighting and chandelier, new plumbing, all SS appl., custom painted 6" plank wood flooring, freshly painted walls & ceiling (satin finish), chrome drawer pulls, chrome coil faucet, custom butcher block counter tops with SS shelving, ceiling to floor white wall tiles, custom wall chalk board, mirrored back-splash, wall mounted magnetized knife rings, original door was repaired (contained a lg. dog door) and painted, removal of two upper cabinets and section of wall behind them to open up the room, add more natural light and to expose the beautiful view!

This guest bath was in it's original 1960's state. The condition of the floor was severely damaged and had to be removed and replaced. The Kohler tub is cast iron and in great shape, it was re glazed for a bright white new finish. The floor and shower walls were tiled in marble with a contrasting ceramic tile. The walls have been painted in a soft grey with a satin finish for a nice reflective sheen and to improve durability. A custom wall nook has been designed to increase storage as well as add to the classic look. An oversized custom mirror with wall sconces really enlarges the space and adds a touch of glamour.
