The business was founded in 1946 at 1106 Mackinaw Ave. in Cheboygan, by Hector and Elizabeth Bourrie. Then named Hector Bourrie & Son, Inc., it moved to 602 W. Seymour St. in 1975 and was know as Bourrie, Inc.
