Top Line Junk Removal & Demolition

This guy is a fraud. He was supposed to help me move 2 years ago with Topline Moving (no junk removal in title) and they kept saying they’d be there and never showed up after ghosting me. Stay away from this crook!

On 08/24/2020 we moved our household goods with Topline Junk Removal & Movers. During the moving process an employee of the Moving company allegedly removed our personal checkbook and forged a check for $1,427.19 on 08/25/20 and attempted to cash another check on 08/26/20 for approximately $1200.00. I contacted the owner telephonically (Chris Gaines), through text messages and email, but was told that he is not responsible for theft by an employee. He also refused to provide the physical address of his business, insurance information or IL-ICC Mover's registration number. He stated that the alleged perpetrator is an employee of his company. The employee's name is on both of the checks that were forged & electronically presented to his bank(Capital One) and withdrawn from my bank (Huntington). Our checking account has been placed on hold. A Police report was also filed with the Willow Springs, Il Police Department. A complaint has been also filed with the State Attorney General. A complaint has also been filed with the FMCSA. A complaint has been filed with the IMAWA. A complaint has been filed with the BBB Chicago. A FOIA inquiry has been initiated.

Working with Charles at Top-line junk removal I will never work with him again. He told us that he would be out at our house twice and did not come and then he had another contractor come out and did not communicate this to us. Then the contractor who came out broke our fence. We even asked Charles what he would be able to do for us due to the fence being broken and he told us his week was busy. I will never trust this company again. Do not hire them for a job.
