We were so impressed with our new deck. They did an awesome job. I would highly recommend them. They set a date to do the job, and they were right on time. If I rated them I would give them an A+, on service and quality of work. They use quality materials also.

Estridge Carpentry built a deck for us in March of this year (2016). There are a few safety issues that need to be resolved. They stated they would be out to fix this a few times. They did not come and now they will not return our calls or emails. These minor repairs would most likely take an hour to fix but apparently they do not stand behind their product. I have read that this appears to be their MO were they tell you they will come out in a few days to do repairs, they never show up, you call again and they tell you the same thing. Then they stop answering calls from your phone number and don't return your messages. Not a good way to get customer referrals. Its unfortunate that we can't recommend them.

Estridge Carpentry lacks a lot to be desired. I hired them to perform some remodeling in my basement and to build a new pole barn. In the basement, they completely trashed the floor with drywall mud and their framing was not square in more than one area. The kid they had doing most of the mudding had no idea how to mud and it will cost me $1,500 to get all the walls re-mudded correctly before I can paint. Very slow and unprofessional employees. When they worked on the pole barn, their were two guys and neither had built one by them selves and the owner only came by a couple of times and the rest of his involvement was done by phone. He did not build the pole per the contract, so ultimately I basically fire him and refused to pay the full amount due on the contract. This also left me with numerous items I had to complete myself. I did call references that Mr. Estridge provided me and they all provided really favorable reviews. However, I have come to the conclusion that these references were either false or fabricated or that Mr. Estridge sent his idiots to my house. Total lack of professionalism, on the first day on the job, one contractor ran over my mailbox at the street and then drove off instead of coming up to the house and informing me of what he had done. So the next morning at 5:00am I discover this as I am leaving. It was obvious that the contractor did this with his dually truck as you could clearly see the tracks for 20 feet in the grass leading straight to the mail box. Their workmanship was terrible on the pole barn. The screws holding on the metal panels are not even close to straight. They did not use a chalk line to ensure the screws were straight. Some screws were on the ridge while others were in between the ridges. Made no sense why except they had no idea what they were doing and did not care about professionalism or craftsmanship. They scratched several panels. I would highly recommend that you fully investigate this company before deciding to go with them. I have dealt with many contractors in my career, and I am a Service Manager, and I know what good service is and workmanship are and these guys simply do not.

I used Porch.com for the first time to have some siding repaired which was blown off during a wind storm. Initial experience was good. Chris Estridge agreed the work and completed it a timely fashion. However, with in a year it blew off again. I promptly called Chris Estridge again, and he said he would get it fixed with in a week. However, that did not happen. After a week went by, I called him to better understand the status. There were excuses about being down on employees, but committed that he would get it taken care of. Well, that didn't happened. Weeks went by, and nothing happened. I called back again, and he just stopped answering my phone calls. I called approximately 20 times, leaving messages before I got a response. He said he would take care of it, but weeks went by again, and nothing happened. Nor would he respond to my phone calls on messages. 6 weeks later, I began looking for a different contractor. I had a recommendation provided to me for T.H.E. Roofing & Sheet Metal Co. They promptly send some one out, and fixed it at a reasonable price. I also look T.H.E Roofing up on BBB, and they have a A+ Raging. Estridge Carpentry recently joined BBB as of Jan 2015, with a reasonable rating, but Estridge Carpentry has very poor follow thru to take care of botched jobs. Be warned. I would not recommend using Estridge Carpentry if you want the work to be guaranteed.
