I (Greg) served in the United States Army and did a tour of Vietnam in 1967-68 and was awarded the Bronze Star during my deployment. After my tour of duty I attended the University of Cincinnati part-time for years on the GI bill and began my flooring career in 1971, working as a rep for Armstrong World Industries in Lancaster, Pa. I traveled in five states calling on lumber and retail flooring stores. After 3 years I grew tired of travel and became a sales rep for a floor covering wholesale distributor located in Lexington, Kentucky that was expanding into the Cincinnati market. Years later I was the vice president for a major Cincinnati based wholesale distributor of carpet and flooring materials. During this time I learned the ins and outs of retail store management, retail selling and the wholesale distribution chain. In 1985 Judy and I decided to open our own business serving consumers and business with floor covering products and installation. Our daughter came into the business and the rest is history. Our Son Brandon was brought into the business early (age 15) and taught the high standards we live by and the great pride we take in selling and installing carpet and flooring right the first time. Brandon has since been trained in all types of flooring products and sales as well as complete flooring and carpet installation. He is the person behind the scenes managing the crews and installation. Brandon also runs sales leads and has a tremendous knowledge of the flooring sales side of the business. He is one of the highest rated Certified Flooring Installers in Midwest America. He also has attended the Armstrong Vinyl School, Shaw Carpet Softbac Certification, Pergo Installation Certification School, Formica Laminate Installation Certification, Carpet Cushion Council Certification and many other manufactures sales and installation training schools and seminars. In 2005 we discovered we could provide better service with a direct warehouse pricing operation and add greater value for our customers by starting a mobile carpet and flooring showroom and cut out the high overhead of maintaining a brick and mortar store.
