Werner Kitchen

Oct 2015

For this project, our client requested an open floor plan to allow for entertaining as well as a more functional space. By demoing the wall between the kitchen and the dining room and smoothing the ceiling, we were able to achieve a space that was both welcoming yet personal. With the addition of recessed can lights and pendants, the space became well illuminated. Under-cabinet lighting was added for functionality during meal prep and as mood lighting in the evening. Redesigning the space for more functionality and storage, features such as a pullout trash unit and deep pots and pans storage only added to the clients love of the space. Other items such as adding a gas line for the range, glass tile backsplash, and matching crown molding continuing into the dining room, helped turn this dated space into a beautiful contemporary kitchen.

Smith Bath

Apr 2015

Wishing for a bath that reflected the Smith's tasteful, artsy personality, this hall bath remodel was a huge transformation! Faced with the difficulty of concrete lath walls, which is very common in older homes in the area, we installed drywall walls and a new porcelain floor. A wall was added to support a large shower while adding privacy to the toilet area. We also demolished the soffit above the vanity area and added sconce lighting. A linen closet was transformed into an open shelving area, allowing for wicker baskets to show personality and keep the small space open. For the shower, a custom mud pan was installed as well as bracing for grab bars, a recessed niche and a corner bench. A huge transformation for such a small space. As you can see, the before and after photos speak for themselves!

Caruso Kitchen

Feb 2015

Wishing to open their kitchen into their living space, we were able to design around a plumbing run from the bath above the kitchen. Unable to fully remove the wall above when we were wanting to add a peninsula, we designed a lighting feature that encased the plumbing lines but kept the space aesthetically pleasing. We also demolished the soffits and moved plumbing for the sink. Granite counters and under-cabinet lighting now add sparkle to a kitchen that was once dull.
