Concept Design Renovation

To say we had an awful experience would be generous. This was the most unprofessional company we have ever worked with. Luis and Karina, the owners, were rarely around. They didn't respond to most emails and were generally very hands off and clearly didn't read out contract. Their crew never knew what was going on and had to re-do most of the work. They made countless errors that included major structural damage to our home. We ultimately ended up terminating our contract and reporting the to DCRA because the issues were so bad. They have not issued a refund and we will be stuck paying for their very expensive damages to our HVAC system, roofing, and structural beams in the house. Not only that, but they were disrespectful of our home and to our neighbors leaving garbage, food and bottles in the backyard, driveway and on the street.

We used Bath & Kitchen to renovate our condo, and then later, the house we moved into. This included structural fixes, a kitchen, turning a 1/2 bath into a full bath and also gutting a hall bath that was falling through the floor (literally), so we had to gut it down to the sub-floor. Their work in each of these cases was impeccable, and the quality great. And I must admit that the tile work is almost a work of art. Overall, just a great experience. Bath and Kitchen has also helped a few of our friends with their construction needs, including one who had a contractor that did work for them and exposed them to significant danger (e.g., venting the gas line into the floor). Bath and Kitchen went in, figured out all the shortcuts the other contractor had taken, and then repaired the damage and made their home safe. In addition to the great work they do, we also appreciate that Bath and Kitchen gives very competitive pricing (as a small company). And most of all, I know that they will never cut corners or place someone at risk, which has consistently been an important source of peace of mind for me and my family.

I have been using Luis and his company for renovations and repair services for the past 20 years. He has done work for me at my home and office on numerous occasions and has also been referred by me to my family and friends. I find him reliable, honest and professional and would recommend him without hesitation.
