PLEASE DO NOT ALLOW HAVEL FLOORS TO HANDLE YOUR FLOORING NEEDS!!!!! PLEASE, PLEASE READ THIS ENTIRE REVIEW. I DON'T WANT WHAT HAPPENED TO ME TO HAPPEN TO YOU!!!! I have finally reached the end of a near ninth month nightmare with this company. The original vinyl plank flooring that was installed in my home, by Havel Floors, began to separate and curl. Upon contacting them regarding these issues, a representative was sent to check out the problem. Within 5 minutes of arriving, the rep blamed the issue on water damage, which there was no evidence of. In addition, the majority of the separating and curling was occurring far from any moisture sources.(Incidentally, the flooring we selected boasted being sun and water resilient, which is why we purchased it.) I continued to fight for having my floors replaced. I was promptly given the runaround. Return phone calls were never made. I ALWAYS had to call them. On one occasion, the owner stated he had called me that day. When I pushed him for when he had called me that day, he admitted he had just lied about calling me!!! When I called him out on being a liar, he became infuriated and called me an a**hole. In what I feel was an effort to avoid replacing my flooring, an "expert" was sent out to determine the true cause of the problem. This "expert", sent by Havel Floors, determined the problem was product failure. I was told by this "expert" not to expect immediate action, because the sample flooring he removed from my kitchen had to be sent to a lab. Moreover, because of COVID, the lab was behind in it's work. I was told not to expect any response for about 5 months. So, I waited 5 months, then began contacting Havel Floors again. Once again, excuses were made. It was finally revealed, by the owner, that the "expert" he had sent out really wasn't an expert, and probably should not have been trusted to make an evaluation! WHAT?!?! I waited 5 months for NOTHING!!! Once again, I fought, and, once again, I was given the runaround. Return phones calls were not made. I had to call them back...EVERY TIME. On two occasions, I was told to, " F#*k off". On a third, I was told to, "Go f#*k myself" Now, due to my frustration, I'll shoulder some of the blame for our phone conversations going poorly. Nonetheless, as a business owner, one should NEVER speak to a customer this way. There's more to share, but this review is already very long. Please read the other reviews of this company. Although there are many good reviews, you'll see that what happened to me is not unique. Although you will end up with great flooring, because of the awesome installation crews, the potential stress, headaches, and abuse you may endure are not worth hiring this company. PLEASE, take your business elsewhere.
