Painting By Ken began painting condominium complexes throughout Contra Costa County in 1974. Eventually our specialty became residential homes and light commercial properties. Working with owners and their agents, Painting By Ken focuses on providing the services required to prepare a home or property for sale or transformation including painting, mouldings, wallpaper removal and dry wall repair. We focus on making our project as pleasant as possible for the residents. Ken grew up in San Jose, California, and, while attending college in Santa Cruz, worked as a painter at a hotel on the boardwalk. After graduating from college, Ken decided to pursue a career as a painting contractor because of his love of color and meeting new challenges. Thirty-seven years later, Ken still enjoys what he does. Working as a sole proprietor in all facets of the business along with two other skilled tradesmen, Ken completed 100's of painting projects large and small. By the early 80's, the crew had expanded to over 10. Ken stays up-to-date with all the latest color trends, products and applications, including the new lead testing law
