Thank You About my companies Brauer Home Services Over the years, I have spent a lot of my time in the field fixing other people's work. This work is often times done by a "do-all" general contractor with low rates, a painting contractor working outside of the their scope of expertise or a "jack of all trades, master of none" type handyman; but you won't find that here. We are here to bridge the gap between a "jack of all trades" handyman and a larger contractor. We never work outside of our realm of expertise, or take on jobs that are too big for us to handle. If a job is not for us, I or one of my tradesman will be more than happy to put you in contact with a contractor specializing in the work that needs to be completed. Our goal is not to provide the lowest estimate, but to provide the highest quality work at rates comparable to other highly rated, qualified and trustworthy contractors, but with a more personal touch. The difference are the people. My tradesmen are all highly skilled residential carpenters, some of the best in Northeast Ohio, and are better compensated then most workmen in the residential field; and it is reflected in their quality of work. If workers are only paid $15/hr, then they're going to work and act like they are making $15/hr. I pay my tradesmen not only to complete the work agreed upon, but to be clean, honest, professional and friendly to you the customer. I believe my customers should be as informed as possible, and that they should be made aware of the fact that there is NO LICENSING REQUIRED in the state of Ohio; making it that much more important to know your home inspector's background. Most inspectors come from a field work that doesn't necessarily require them to have extensive knowledge of a home's structure, systems and maintenance issues; most commonly these inspectors were Real Estate Agents, Appraisers, Engineers or Architects in there former fields or work. This certainly does not make someone a bad inspector, but I feel me experience as a highly rated residential contractor, Brauer Home Services, gives me a different perspective than most. While most national home inspection organizations have high standards and strict requirements, I believe that there is no substitute for experience. My certification as a Licensed Residential Building Inspector through the International Code Council is what sets me apart from other inspectors, most home inspectors do not carry this type of licensure.
