A-1 Handyman and Lawn Services

DO NOT USE THIS "SERVICE". BY NOT HONORING THE CONTRACT THEY MADE WITH MY MOTHER, THEY JUST BASICALLY STOLE HER MONEY. THEY DO NOT E RETURN PHONE CALLS. THE WORK WAS ONLY BARELY STARTED, NOTHING FINISHED. NO PLANTING, DIDN'T FINISH CLEAN UP. NEVER KEPT COMMUNICATION WITH HER, AND ONLY OFFERED EXCUSES AND DISAPPOINTMENT. I BELIEVE THEY PREY ON SENIORS! DO NOT USE A-1!!!

EXTREMELY unreliable company. We were quoted approximately 1 1/2 weeks for 3 jobs. John knew we were fixing the house up to put it on the market and that my sister would begin working from home within 3 weeks. We were assured they would be long gone before she began working from home. Within the first 12 days of signing the contract we had paid the company at A-1 over $3300 for all of the materials . . then all of a sudden the work almost stopped. Fast forward 6 weeks later and the 3 jobs had still not been completed. Not one of them. As far as work goes we got an hour or 2 of work here and there and maybe even a half day or 2. It took 8 weeks and 1 day for us to get the work completed from the start date. We were lied to repeatedly eye to eye and on the phone about when they would show up to work and when they would have it done. NOBODY should have to go through what we did. As I told the owner Samantha , you sure can't blame the weather since we are in a 10" drought for the area. I personally feel like they held our house hostage during that 8 week period and told Samantha this. I had to beg her for them to show up, get the jobs done, get the rest of their money and move on. BEWARE!! LEARN FROM OUR MISTAKES AND GET AN END DATE IN WRITING!!!!!

In a word, terrible. Unprofessional, unreliable and unbelievably incompetant. Do not waste your time or money on this company.

We could not have had a better experience. We received a call within about three minutes of submitting a project online, and someone was at our house within an hour. John did an amazing job completely repairing our problem, and he was EXTREMELY courteous. We couldn't recommend him or A-1 any more!!
